Christian Prayer For Renewed Hope This Season
For many of us, this season has been nothing short of exhausting. Now more than ever, we are caught in a world full of busyness. It's hard to turn our minds off and escape the noise. My desire is to give you a safe space to renew your motivation and hope. Our savior promises us His Peace, regardless of our circumstances. In this meditation, I invite the holy spirit to guide me into a prayer meant just for you. Welcome His words to wash over you, and don't be surprised if you feel your hope grow.

The hustle and bustle,
The weight of the world outside,
It can be overwhelming.
It can feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders.
But if you take just a moment,
Take a deep breath right now.
Inhale with me.
And exhale.
Just for a moment,
You may feel a little sense of ease.
Today my hope is that my words,
My encouragement,
And our God will give you some peace of mind,
Will give you encouragement and remind you that you are not alone.
You're never alone.
Even in the darkest hours,
Even when the television,
Our friends,
Our cell phones,
All of our distractions,
When those fail us,
When there's the quiet moments,
The stillness that is almost piercing,
It's in those moments when we feel so alone,
We feel so forgotten.
We wonder if anyone is there.
We wonder if anyone cares.
And I want to remind you and encourage you,
The truth is that Jesus,
Your friend,
Your savior,
He's right next to you.
He wants to hear from you.
He wants to remind you.
He wants to talk to you and tell you that he sees you.
He has never left you.
It doesn't matter what you've done.
It doesn't matter what others have done to you,
Although painful and rightfully so for you to feel upset.
He's still with you.
He loves you so much.
He knows every hair on your head.
He's been walking every step with you.
And I know there are times where it feels like he has deserted you,
But I promise in that desert,
He's still next to you.
He is planning something for you.
Even if you can't see it right now,
Do not lose hope.
I pray,
I pray that you do not lose hope.
I remember there's a word in the Bible that says,
Hope deferred makes the heart grow sick.
Please,
I pray right now,
Lord God,
That you would just wash your hope over this beautiful person who's listening right now,
Lord.
I pray that your hope would just extend from the depths of your soul and reach the depths of theirs,
God.
Please bring them a hope that isn't just a word,
But it's a feeling.
Renew the dead areas in their hearts,
The areas that have told them and taken root that there is no hope,
That there is no future.
I pray in Jesus' name that you would break that bondage right now,
Lord.
Break that lie right now,
God.
I pray that they would feel a tingling in their body,
They would feel a knowing in their soul that that lie is just a lie.
It's not true.
If it's taken root,
I ask Jesus that you would take your heavenly hands and rip that lie up from the root right now.
And please,
God,
Replace in their heart a well,
A deep,
Deep well of hope,
Even if it can't be felt right now.
I ask that you would fill up that gaping hole,
That area that has been so dry,
So desolate.
I pray that you would fill it up with your spirit right now and send this beautiful person the friends that they need,
The words that they need,
The encouragement that they need,
The words that they haven't heard in years,
Whether it's from a lack of hearing the words from themselves or a lack of hearing encouragement from others.
I ask that Jesus,
You would be their encouragement and that you would start showing them how real you are.
I was not planning on praying this prayer,
But I do believe in the Holy Spirit and I know that he had me pray this for a reason for you right now.
And I would like to take a moment to find a word,
A word of hope in the Bible right now and that you would know that this word in the Bible,
It's not just a word,
It's not just a text.
It is inspired by God.
It was given to men and women who walked with Jesus,
Who knew him,
Who breathed at the same air as him,
Who spoke the same words as him,
Who could look into his eyes.
And I just pray that you would remember that and know that as we read about hope today.
I will just say a few prayers,
A few words from the Bible,
Just speak hope over you right now.
I know that it's been hard,
But I believe right now for you,
Even if you don't believe it for yourself,
That there's something coming,
There's something new around the corner and you will feel it,
You will know it.
I pray that you will sense it.
I know that this verse is spoken a lot about in Christian culture and it's something that can lose its power.
And so I just pray right now for a renewing of understanding.
I know the plans that I have for you,
Declares the Lord,
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
Plans to give you a hope and a future.
I pray God that you would remind this beautiful person that their future is secure in you,
That we have a future here on earth and we also have a beautiful future waiting for us in a place that is aligned with your beauty,
Aligned with your vision,
That is built with gems and sapphires and jewels that we can't even comprehend,
Colors that we can't even comprehend.
And I just pray God that this hope and this future would feel very real.
We fix our eyes not on what is seen,
But on what is unseen,
Since what is seen is temporary,
But what is unseen is eternal.
Again,
God,
I just pray that you would remind us of eternity with you,
That right now we may have trouble,
But that there is hope in being with you and united with you in your kingdom.
Be joyful in hope,
Patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.
God,
I will just continue to faithfully pray for triumph over our affliction right now and that you would help us out of this place and out of this season and that you would give us a shifting of seasons,
A shifting that we need,
A shifting of mindset,
A shifting of finances,
A shifting that will draw us into a new place with you,
A new place in our faith.
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us so that through the endurance taught in the scriptures and the encouragement they provide,
We might have hope.
There is surely a future hope for you and your hope will not be cut off.
I love this verse in Proverbs because it reminds us there is a future.
It says there is surely a future and a hope for you.
That is something that is certain.
It is true,
Even if it doesn't feel like it right now.
And finally,
The last verse I want to pray over us is Jeremiah 17,
7,
Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord and whose confidence is in him.
I pray Jesus that you would restore our confidence in you.
If we feel distant from you,
If we have lost our faith in you and our trust in you,
Jesus,
Holy Spirit,
Please restore that in us.
We repent of that.
We ask for forgiveness.
But we also just want to be honest and tell you that we have struggled.
We've struggled in believing you at all times.
We can't be perfect Christians.
We can't follow you perfectly.
We are so broken.
And that's why we need you.
And we thank you so much for dying for our sins,
For our faithlessness.
Even when we are faithless,
You are still faithful.
And I thank you,
Jesus,
For that truth and that fact that even when we feel upset,
Even when we don't trust you,
It may feel like a sin.
And we know that it's not right.
But we know that you love us so much and that your grace abounds beyond what we expect or what we even feel is worthy.
We know,
God,
How much you love us,
And we just pray right now that we would feel your love shower over us,
That your hope would align with our hope.
And if we've been in a deficit,
Please renew us.
Please fill us up with your hope,
God.
I pray again just for these words and these encouragements to rest on us,
To give us a sense of ease and peace.
Wherever we're going after this meditation,
I pray,
Lord,
That you would follow us and that we would not feel like we've just checked off a meditation app on our list,
But that this would be something that would rest upon us the rest of the day,
The rest of this week.
Anytime that we feel like we need to be close to you,
I pray that you would just spur us on to pray in that moment or pursue us in that moment and remind us that you're there.
I thank you,
Lord,
For how much you love us.
I ask that we would just rest in knowing the truth that you do have a hope for us.
You have not given up hope.
You are a picture of hope.
You are a picture of redemption.
You are the visual of waiting and suffering and seeing the fruit of obedience,
The fruit of knowing that there is a hope,
That your future is secure.
We thank you,
Jesus,
For reminding us of that.
And I pray that we would just trust in you and look to you as our hope,
As our friend,
As our counselor.
Be close to us.
Be near to us.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Now you can take this time to be present with the Lord.
The music will keep playing,
But you can say a prayer and invite him in.
You can focus on his presence or you can just be still knowing that he is God and allow him to lead you and guide you as you rest in his presence and in his grace.
Thank you.
