How To Lead With Soul In Your Business {Incl Practical Tips}

Today we are chatting about how to lead with your soul in your business.

So firstly we're going to talk about how to do this consistently and then we're going to talk about why you would want to.

Because what I find with business,

Especially when we are soulful people in business,

Is that it can be actually quite hard to lead with your soul.

Even though you started your business with a lot of heart and you're like I'm going to change the world,

When we get into your business side of doing our business we start to get really logical,

We start to get really heady about things and then we start to lose some of that really childlike curiosity and playfulness and excitement about growing a business that can help change lives.

You know business is not what I wanted it to be.

I just wanted to help people.

Leading with your soul in business.

So as I just said before,

Why do we want to do this?

Because I know that you are here to change the world with your beautiful work and we want to make sure that your business doesn't become soulless,

It doesn't become suddenly all logical,

It doesn't become all just strategic,

It doesn't become this hard almost polar opposite to why it is that you are doing business.

My personal belief with a soulful business,

The difference between a business and a soulful business,

Is that in a business that is soulful or a soulful business it is led with your soul and this means that your business gets to be a spiritual playground for you to grow your spirituality,

Deepen your spiritual practice and personally develop.

So if we start to think of business in that way instead of it just being like,

You know,

The logical side that I have to do in order to make a living out of what I want to do to help people.

If we start to think of our business as a soulful business and in that understanding that a soulful business implies that you are going to spiritually develop and personally develop deeper with your business,

Then this takes on a different meaning of how we do business.

Can you already see that shift from knowing those two differences,

Right?

One is I'm just in business and I have to do the business thing because that's how I'm going to create more change in the world and make money out doing what I love,

Changing lives,

Right?

So there's that viewpoint which you might already be in and then there is the viewpoint that my business is actually here to help me cultivate my spirituality,

To help me cultivate a deeper understanding of who I am and to help me cultivate who it is that I be in the world outside of my business as well so that I can have an even bigger impact not only through my business but through my life as well.

Yeah,

Can you see the differences between the two?

And what I'm inviting you to do today is if you are sitting in the latter point of view of what business is,

Where business is kind of like the must do but I don't really like doing it type of way of doing business,

Then I'm inviting you into this way of thinking about business where it is a soulful business and your soulful business is actually feeding your personal growth and your spiritual growth because that is when our businesses become part of our practices and when it's part of our practices we now no longer have to separate business and life,

Right?

And we don't have to separate and think that business is this evil entity that we have to deal with just to kind of get by because that's how the world works.

Yeah,

Okay let me know if this is landing.

Yes,

Lots of hearts,

Wonderful.

Yes,

This resonates.

Trying to understand how this fits my work in academia.

I mean everything fits together piece so whether it is that you have your own business or you are working in academia,

Anything that you have in your life,

Now I'm framing this for business owners because this is you know what I do,

But anything in your life can be your spiritual practice.

So if you're working in academia as a professor at university,

Your work is also part of your spiritual practice.

Yeah,

Perhaps how to communicate this to my boss.

Yeah,

Interesting and maybe you'll get some ideas after today piece about how to communicate this to your boss.

Alright,

Today we're talking about leading with your soul in business and the first thing I've offered to you today was a perspective flip,

A perspective switch about how you are viewing business and many heart-centered soul-led business owners who are in here for the right reasons,

They want to make a change in the world,

They get a bit stuck when it comes to the business part and some of that has to do with the perspective that you have on business and the two opposing perspectives that I offered to you today was one where you think that business is a necessary evil that you have to do in order to get your work out there to change lives and the second perspective which I have invited you to take on is that your business is actually part of your spiritual practice,

Your business is part of your personal development and growth and if you take on this viewpoint then you're going to start to step into a soulful business and then that enables you to be able to lead with your soul in your business,

Which is what today's topic really is about,

Leading with soul in your business.

So having understood that definition which I thought was necessary for you to make,

Let us switch over and let us pretend that all of you are now on board with understanding that your business is part of your spiritual practice.

So I'm just going to make that big assumption that you've jumped on board with me and you're like yeah you know what,

Business can be part of my spiritual practice and in that light I can start to really enjoy the process of doing business in the world.

So leading with your soul in business,

What does this mean?

This is really the balance that we get to find between business that tends to be logical,

Business that tends to be strategic,

Business that tends to be heady and it is finding that balance between that and connecting in with your heart,

Your soul,

Your spirit or however it is that you connect.

This is the way that I teach business with my people.

I have a platform called the Limitless Academy and in that academy we don't talk about just strategy because I believe that logic and strategy are just 20% of what you really need to have success in not only your business but your life and so most of what we talk about is the spiritual side,

The spiritual practice,

The energy,

The mindset,

The spiritual laws that we are under and how we can start to actually do business in a really compassionate and heartfelt way that first starts with us and then ripples out into the rest of our world beyond our clients.

Because remember your business is not only helping your business,

It is helping your life,

It is your spiritual practice and if it's your spiritual practice that means your whole life gets to change.

Isn't that powerful?

And this is why we don't want to separate business from spiritual practice or business from life and this is why it's so important to be leading with your soul in your business because you are a spiritual being,

You are already awakened to this fact,

You are here because you know that you want to deepen this part of you.

So business is no different to this and it should not be separated from your spiritual practice and so it is essential that you lead with your soul in your business otherwise you will feel disconnected and you will feel like you are playing a game that feels fake.

Now I'm really seeing all these hearts so I'm glad because this obviously is resonating with you so thank you for letting me know that this is resonating with you.

So we need to,

It is imperative for those of us who have awakened to the fact that we are spiritual beings,

We're here for a higher purpose,

It is imperative,

It is of utmost importance that we lead with our soul in our business.

We will not be fulfilled and we will not be satisfied if we do this any other way.

We will feel like we're cutting ourselves on the legs,

Off at the legs or we will feel like we are unfulfilled or we'll feel like we're faking it.

We don't want any of this.

We've talked about why you would want to do this right?

We do not want to separate these parts of you that are crying to fulfill your spiritual needs as well and this is how your business can start to fulfill your spiritual needs,

Your spiritual development,

Those things that you want to step into as a spiritual being who has awakened.

So that first switch again,

The first switch that you need to make in order to lead with your soul is to understand that your business is part of your spiritual practice and to not separate your business from the spiritual lives that you lead.

That is the first step.

The second step is really starting to understand the impact that that will have if you are to separate these two parts of you and have business as this like logical heady space that you step into.

I said a necessary evil to create the good work that you want to in the world.

The consequence of that is that you're going to feel separated.

You're going to create more splits within you.

You're gonna feel like an imposter.

You're gonna feel like this is hard.

You're gonna feel out of alignment.

You're gonna feel out of integrity.

You're not going to feel fulfilled.

This is far from the spiritual practices that I believe that you are cultivating already,

Whatever it is that you do.

So remember that your business is not separate from you and your spirituality.

Business gets to be that way that you start to see all of those little parts of you that perhaps need a little bit more work,

A little bit more cultivation.

So let's go come back to our topic today of leading with your soul of business.

I'll just let you know that sometimes I go off-topic and off-tangent and I go on a little rant because something is pulling my attention there.

So I'm just pulling myself back into what we're here to talk about today,

Which is leading with soul in your business.

Okay,

How do we do this consistently?

This is one of the most simple practices that I share with my clients about how to lead with your soul and it is to have some sort of practice where you can connect to your heart and your soul.

So just know to yourself or hands up if you have a practice that allows you to listen to your soul.

Now I'm gonna get clear what soul is.

Soul is not your ego,

Right?

It is not those desires or wants that are generated from an ego that wants to be pleased,

That wants to be liked,

That wants to please others,

That wants to fit in.

It is none of those things.

So your first way of how to lead with your soul is to consistently tap into and use the practices and tools that you have already at your disposal to listen to your soul,

To get into connection with your soul.

So I know that each and every one of you probably have something and at the end of today we will do a short connection with soul in a way that I would do it,

But whatever way that you are using,

Use that,

Right?

One of the other tips I give to my clients all the time is do your own method.

So whatever it is that you're teaching,

Whatever it is,

However it is that you're leading others,

Do that.

Lean on your own tools,

Become the embodiment,

The master of your own tools.

So we need to consistently use our tools or practices that allow us to step into and be connected to and listen to and hear our soul.

Make sure that you are connecting with your soul on a daily if not hourly basis and especially in those moments when you need to make decisions in your business,

When you are faced with a fork in the road,

When you are faced with a big decision to make in your business and even small decisions,

Okay?

So small decisions like what social media platform should I go on or what kind of message should I talk to my clients about today,

Yeah?

What kind of marketing things should I do?

Any of those decisions can be led with your soul.

Up into the big ones,

Yeah?

Who should I invest in to work with?

What programs or technologies should I use?

What does my business model need to look like?

What investments do I need to make to learn more about how to grow a really good business?

Okay,

All of the little decisions and the big decisions can be led with your soul and the first way,

First thing and I keep reiterating this,

The first thing you need to do to be able to do this well is to make sure that you are consistently practicing the tools or the practice that you have personally to get in touch with and to listen and to hear your soul.

And the reason I'm saying consistently is because our ability to speak with soul,

Spirit or our hearts,

However it is that you like to frame this,

It becomes clearer and it becomes more powerful when we are practicing consistently.

So do not rely on only listening to your soul when you're in a stuck place,

A sticky place,

Yeah?

Do not rely on leading with your soul or your soul to talk to you clearly when you're in desperate times,

Okay?

Your practice needs to be consistent and what I mean by consistent is every single day at the least.

Are you seeing now how this is tied into your business being your spiritual practice,

Right?

Just as we started right at the beginning.

So you need to be practicing the checking in with your soul every single day because then you're going to get really really clear of what your soul sounds like or feels like or hears or talks to you when you're making not only the little decisions,

The little decisions are really easy to hear soul,

But more importantly the big decisions,

The big decisions that maybe put you at risk or should I say more accurately put your ego at risk.

Because it really is in those big decisions and the big decisions in our businesses are the ones that usually lead to the biggest leaps and the biggest what I say quantum leaps or biggest progress in your business.

Those big decisions are where it really counts to listen to your soul and we can't,

It is very difficult,

I'll say not we can't,

But it is very difficult for you to be able to differentiate between ego and soul when you're making a really big decision that is risky.

Yeah,

But it's so important too because remember what we just talked about at the start,

If you're not leading with your soul you're gonna feel unfulfilled,

You'll feel like an imposter,

You won't make the progress that you want,

Remember that soul is limitless and so therefore you can create whatever it is that you truly desire in the world.

So we need to be practicing our connection with soul and our listening of soul and our follow-through with soul,

Taking the action that soul says to do on the little things in our business so that when it comes to a big risky decision that we have we can take that leap with faith.

And then this is really how you start to lead with soul in your business in a way that allows you to quantum leap,

That allows you to make huge jumps of progress.

The foundation is however,

As I keep saying before,

Your practice of tapping into,

Listening,

Communicating with and following through on your soul tugs,

Your soul directives.

And this is a practice,

This is a thing you should be doing daily and this is a thing that you should be practicing with the small little micro decisions that you have in your business and then later with the bigger decisions that will require more risk and the risk only exists in your ego,

Remember that,

The risk only exists in your ego.

Your ego is always the one that is going to freak the out.

Soul knows what the big lessons are that we need to learn,

Soul knows the big the best steps for us in order to grow forward,

To grow and expand into who we want to become.

Ego will always try to hold you back,

It will always try to hold you in your current state because your current state is comfortable and your current state is safe for your ego.

So leading with soul in your business not only allows you to feel an integrity,

Authenticity,

To feel deep fulfillment in the work that you have in the relationship that you have with business itself,

It not only allows your business to become your spiritual practice,

It also allows you to step into your limitlessness,

Which is who you truly are.

When we decide to lead with soul we are no longer bound by the ego that has limits that will keep you the same,

We are now stepping into the realm of your limitlessness.

And this is one of the really key important reasons why you need to start leading with your soul.

And I've given you the micro steps there.

First is do it on the unimportant little decisions that you have.

What kind of content am I going to share today?

Things that really don't matter.

And then as you use your practice and you follow through on soul tugs and you keep doing this over and over,

You can start to lead with soul in the bigger decisions.

And these decisions are going to blow your mind.

And I say that from personal experience of having done this,

Those big decisions which feel scary as hell to your ego,

But are totally soul-led,

Will blow your mind in a good way.

And they will help you to expand into more of who you are becoming,

More of who you desire to become,

In a quicker and faster way.

In a way that really feels like you are fulfilling your mission on this earth.

So we have talked today about leading with your soul in business.

I talked about the distinction between the two perspectives of what business was right at the start.

Then we talked about why you want to do this.

And there were several big reasons why you want to lead with your soul.

And we talked about how to do this.

And I think this is the most important part.

Practice.

Practice.

Practice every single day.

Use the tools every single day that you have at your disposal now,

That allow you to be in touch with,

To communicate with,

And to hear your soul.

And then make sure that you follow through on those soul directives.

On the micro decisions,

And then later on the bigger decisions.

And every single decision that you have to make in your business,

Gets to be led by soul.

And this in itself is a practice.

And it becomes a practice that gets further and further refined.

And you'll start to notice when it is in fact your soul speaking,

And not your ego.

So as we go along,

We might make some mistakes with what we believe our soul is.

And we mistaken our ego to be the soul speaking.

And this is why practicing is so important.

Because you're going to start to understand what soul actually feels like to you,

And sounds like to you,

Versus what your ego is.

The reason why I bring this up is because I do see this quite a lot with people who are practicing.

So I'm just putting it there in your awareness for you to be aware of.

The ego is incredibly sneaky,

And it will do a lot of things to keep you in the same space.

And one of the ways that it does this is masquerading as soul.

Which is why the practice is so important,

Especially on the little things.

So that you're really understanding what a soul directive is,

Versus an ego masquerading as soul is.

So I hope that this was incredibly useful for you,

Let's hop into a very short meditation to connect with soul.

This is one of the ways that I like to connect with soul,

Is through meditation.

Whatever tool is that you have at your disposal,

That you use,

That you practice with yourself or with your clients,

Do that more.

So I'm always a big advocate of doing what you say that you do,

And becoming the embodiment of the tools that you use,

And that you use with your clients.

Because then you're just going to become more of a master of that,

And more of a professional at that.

All right,

So let us close our eyes.

Place your hands wherever it feels comfortable,

And just tap into the breath.

Listen to your breath.

Turn all your attention into the breath.

And for a moment just sit and feel the breath.

Feel the sensation of air coming in and out of your body.

Feel the rise and fall of the chest.

Feel the expansion and contraction as the breath comes in,

And as the breath leaves your body.

Focus even deeper on the breath.

Notice the sensations.

Notice the sound.

Notice the movement.

Notice the quality of your breath.

There's no need to change the breath.

Just become aware.

And now bring your attention to your heart space,

And focus all of your attention and all of your energy onto the heart space.

And we're talking about the energetic center of the heart chakra.

Just notice there the pulsation,

The warmth,

The quality of your energy of your heart space right now.

And if you were to imagine your energy of your heart space as a ball of energy,

Notice what color it is today.

And now I want you to imagine that you have a microscope on you,

And you zoom in on this ball of energy that is your heart chakra.

And zoom in until you can see one particle of that energy.

And in the next breath we zoom in even further,

Where you're seeing the smallest component that makes up that one particle of that energy of your heart.

Zoom in.

And now zoom in to the smallest part here,

And zoom in to where you can perceive space between this smallest component and itself.

Finding the space.

And for those of you who wish to receive some energetic assistance to assist you with this,

Just say yes in your third eye,

And I'm helping you to zoom in even further into this energetic space,

Into the particles,

Into the smallest component of that.

And as you zoom in,

You will notice that the more that you zoom in,

The more space there is.

And you will notice that the more that you zoom in,

The more space is present,

And less and less of the density is present.

So we take a few deep breaths in this space that we have discovered,

This place of space deep within.

Take a few deep breaths here.

And here it is that you might notice is the perfect platform for your soul to speak,

Where it is spacious,

Where it is quiet,

Where it is deeper than the surface where your ego resides,

Where it is clear.

Notice the emotions,

Notice your thoughts,

Notice the sensations of your body.

And note this as your evidence of connection with soul.

Calm,

Grounded,

Spacious,

Clear.

And if you have a question to ask about your business or your life,

Now is your chance.

Pop this into the space and listen for that first answer.

This may come as a word or sentence,

A picture,

A smell,

A sound,

A feeling.

And when you're ready,

You're going to slowly remain in this connection,

But slowly opening your eyes to also be in this world,

This 4D world.

Remain connected,

But come back here.

And as you are connected,

You get to walk around the rest of your day,

Being connected with soul,

Spirit,

Or your heart,

And practicing making those little decisions throughout your day with this deep connection in place.

And your task is to listen,

To hear,

And to follow.

And the more that you do this,

The stronger your connection with soul will be,

And the clearer that it will speak to you.
