Today's technique is called the Jedi Daydream Meditation.
First,
Get into a comfortable sitting position.
You can use a chair,
Sitting meditation posture,
The edge of your bed,
Whatever works well and is comfortable for you.
Next,
We will take three deep breaths just to affirm that this time is for us.
This is a time of relaxing,
Letting go,
And just being.
So deep breath.
And let go.
Deep breath.
And embrace the warmth.
Deep breath.
And relax.
Continue to breathe naturally and comfortably during this exercise.
Okay,
Now,
Keeping an upright but comfortable posture,
Allow your eyes to gaze comfortably downward.
Don't drop your head,
Just let your eyes take a downward angle.
Let them go soft.
Don't focus on anything in particular.
You may pick a spot to rest your eyes,
But don't feel you have to focus or hone in on any particular object.
Allow your eyelids to rest comfortably without closing your eyes.
Your eyelids may droop.
Just go with whatever is comfortable.
Continue to just breathe naturally and comfortably,
Simply resting and being within the moment.
It is okay to allow your attention to drift a bit during this time.
Just allow yourself this moment to be at peace.
Allow your eyes to simply be.
Just allow that downward gaze to keep you present,
Not focused on any one thing.
If your eyes become tired or very heavy,
You can close them.
The main thing is to just unfocus,
Breathe,
And just relax.
Allow yourself this time to simply be for you.
