Hello,
Friends,
And welcome to this sacred moment.
And in this moment,
I would like to read you a poem by Jane O'Shea.
From her book,
Follow Yourself Home and Enjoy the Company.
This one is called Tumbling Past Our Door.
Life is supposed to be a mystery,
Not a foregone conclusion.
We pay our dues for the experience,
Not for the set of plans.
It's not an endurance test,
A race,
A destination,
Or even an exam we need to get right.
It is a strange and mystifying adventure.
A pilgrimage to find the way to our sacred heart.
To find we are already right here at home.
So we can know the divine and the ordinary in each and every moment and movement of life as it tumbles past our door.
Give up the struggle,
For life already knows what it is doing.
Give up the struggle,
For life already knows what it is doing.
So,
My friends,
I would like to sit quietly for a few minutes and really open to the inquiry.
What would your life be like if you were to give up the struggle?
If you were to trust that life already knows what it is doing?
How would your life be different?
So please,
Close your eyes now and let us breathe and settle into this moment.
Rest into silence.
Rest into silence.
Let us sit together and I will call you back in a little while.
Thank you.
Thank you for your presence.
Thank you to Jane O'Shea for her beautiful inspired poetry.
I'm going to read you this poem once again.
So just let the words wash over and through you.
