Sleepy Spirit Of India: When Rails Become Mantras
I created this sleep soundscape while traveling through India on a night train, moving slowly from Delhi toward the south. As the nocturnal landscape shifted outside the window, something deeper was moving inside me too. The rhythm of the rails became a mantra. Fragments of music, echoes of prayer, distant voices, and silences blended into something ethereal — spiritual, heartbreaking, and powerful all at once. India revealed itself to me not as one story, but as many: layered, contradictory, tender, overwhelming. In everything, there is beauty — even when it doesn’t feel that way. This soundscape carries those wonderful impressions. A journey through a country of immense diversity and emotion, where devotion and daily life breathe side by side. I made it for sleep, but also for surrender — for letting go, for drifting, for traveling without needing to arrive. Southbound. Through the night. Through a thousand quiet worlds. Join me on this ride. All you need is your imagination.
