Close your eyes and feel the quietness that comes from just sitting here not trying to make anything happen just settling down into being here now let your awareness go to your heart to the center of your chest just be aware of any sensations or feelings there imagine deep in your chest is a golden light very still, Very peaceful and imagine yourself going into this light and going through the light imagine yourself coming out into a wood, Coming out into a clearing in the wood where the soft grass, Green trees, Sunlight filtering through the leaves you might see flowers in the grass, You might even imagine smelling them here you might hear a bird song or gentle wind in the leaves just feel yourself in this place, Very peaceful, Calm place in nature and flowing through this clearing you see a gentle stream bubbling through the glade its water is pure, Very clear you can even imagine yourself putting your finger in it, Feeling it drinking it even then look to where this stream is coming from, Where in the woods it's coming from and follow it back go back along the stream until after a while you come to its source there's a spring gently flowing out from underneath the rock and you know this place it has a deep sense of familiarity a sense of being home then imagine that somewhere near the spring you see a large wooden box or chest just go over to it and on the lid is an inscription that says this box concerns your personal mission, Your purpose in life, Your highest intentions and inside is some object or symbol that will help you become more clear on your purpose so in your imagination open the lid and look inside what do you find? Don't judge it, Wondering whether it is right or not, The first thing that appears to you is usually the best if you see more than one thing there, Choose the one to which you are most attracted sometimes you may not see anything at all if so try looking a little more closely maybe this object or symbol is very small, Hiding in a corner somewhere sometimes it might even be under the lid itself if you still can't find anything then just let a symbol or object come into your mind, Something you feel is connected with your life purpose then take whatever you've found out of the box and look at it more closely what is its shape? What colours are there? How does it feel? Is it heavy, Light, Hard, Soft? Take a moment to explore it, See what you can discover about it is there anything surprising or unexpected about it? Anything puzzling or mysterious? Anything you don't understand? If you haven't already done so, Turn it around what does it look like from behind? Or from on top? Or underneath? If you can, Imagine yourself inside it, What do you notice? Anything unexpected? Now looking up, You see there's a wise being coming through the woods it may be a human being, Someone you know, Someone who has appeared to you before, A spiritual guide or it may take the form of another creature or being whatever form it takes is fine just allow this wise being to approach you and as it does, Greet it thank it for coming to you and after you've greeted it, See if it has anything to say or to offer you any words of advice? Any wisdom? Then show it the symbol or object that you found in the box does this wise being have anything to tell you about your object? How it might relate to your purpose or life direction? Does this being have anything to show you that you might not have noticed? Or if there's anything you found puzzling or unexpected about your symbol ask this wise being if it can help you understand it or explain it and remember whatever happens is fine, In this realm anything is possible so continue to be there with your wise being for a moment, With no expectations just open curiosity, Open to whatever occurs, Whatever it has to show you or say now it's time to say goodbye to this being thank them for any help they've given you and listen to any final advice they may have to offer or anything else they want to show you then let them just gently return into the woods now in the distance you notice a small hill with a path leading to the top taking your symbol with you, Follow this path up to the top of the hill and you find the top of the hill is bathed in sunlight as you stand there with the sun shining down upon you hold your object, Your symbol, Out in the sunlight letting the warm rays fall upon it and watch if anything happens or if there's any changes as you hold it there in the sunlight then let that stream of light from your object flow into you receive those warm rays with the whole of your being then when you feel ready, Come back down the hill to the spring, To the source of the stream and when you are there, Just gently place your symbol or whatever it has become it may have transformed into something else just place it into the stream, Letting the clear waters wash over it and then before leaving this meditation, It's a good idea to take a few minutes to review what happened what did you notice as you first explored your symbol? Was there anything surprising about it? Anything you didn't notice at first? What connection does it seem to have to your purpose in life? What did the wise beings say or show you? What happened when you held your symbol up to the sun? Are there ways in which your own mission, Your higher intentions are now clearer? Or any shifts in understanding about yourself? And when the bell rings to end the meditation, Afterwards you may want to spend a few minutes making some notes on your experience that may also help things become clearer

Nice, clear & concise. I feel more uncertain then before though as I was confused by my symbol/object and what it meant. Maybe it will become clearer in time.

I'm still processing this. The object in the box was a small kitten. When I held it up to the light it radiated strong loving energy. The wise being was a white stallion. Very large beast. It told me that I needed to handle the object gently. I was not able to place the object back into its spring source but made a safe shelter for it. I feel much love and compassion right now. Thank you.

This guided meditation is very well scripted. You anticipated and weaved in variances in the visualization that allowed me to hang in there just as self doubt was sneaking in. Especially upon returning to the box with my object which had, indeed, changed.
