This meditation is inspired by the timeless hymn “One Day at a Time,” shared from a place of deep personal connection. It carries a heartfelt invitation to pause, breathe, and rest in calm presence. In a world that often feels overwhelming, may this practice help you discover inner ease and soothe your nervous system. Allow the words and melody to guide you gently back to yourself—grounded, at peace, and held in gratitude. From my heart to yours, with love and serenity. Namaste. Music by musicofwisdom

Hi friend,

This is Petrina.

I just got back from a long,

Peaceful walk in nature.

And this song rose from my healing playlist and it wrapped me in a sense of openness and joy.

It stayed with me and it's asking to be shared.

So today,

I sing it for you,

Offering the love and the compassion it steered in me.

With hope that it reaches your heart too.

And that by the end,

You will feel the same lightness and love and compassion that fills my heart at this very moment.

So before I jump in,

Let's get you settled into your body.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Hold at the top for a moment,

Open your mouth and slowly release,

Letting something go.

Another breath in through your nose,

Bow your eyes,

Ribcage,

Expand,

Chest lifts,

Heart open.

Exhale,

Release,

Chest,

Ribcage,

Belly,

Soften.

Last one,

Big breath in,

Feel the expansion through your belly,

Ribcage,

Your chest.

And then release from top,

Middle,

Bottom,

Soften.

Surrender,

Be at ease,

Here we go,

I'm only human,

I'm just a woman.

Lord,

Help me believe in what I could be,

In all that I am.

Show me the stairway that I have to climb.

Lord,

For my sake,

Teach me to take one day at a time.

One day at a time,

Sweet Jesus,

That's all I'm asking from you.

Lord,

Give me the strengthening that I have to do.

Yesterday's gone,

Sweet Jesus,

And tomorrow may never be mine.

Teach me to take one day at a time.

Well,

Jesus,

You know,

If you're looking below,

It's worse now than then.

Cheating and stealing,

Violence and crass,

That's all that I have to do.

Yesterday's gone,

Take another breath in through your nose,

Feel the expansion in your ribcage,

Feel your chest lift,

Your heart open,

And open your mouth,

Exhale,

Release,

Chest,

Ribcage,

Belly,

Let something go,

Something that is no longer serving you in this moment.

Let your heart be light,

Let your spirit be light,

Let your body be calm,

Let your mind be at ease.

Carry this feeling with you through the rest of your day,

Your evening,

Your night,

And may you find peace and joy and harmony within your beautiful body.

Know that you can always come back to this place of ease when things feel hard and heavy,

And that you have everything within your beautiful body,

Within your body,

Within your mind,

That you need to sustain you through challenges.

And as always,

We close with gratitude and love from my heart to yours.

Until we meet again,

Namaste.
