Take a comfortable seat,

Lie down.
Allow your body to settle.
Softly close your eyes.
Tune into your breath.
Welcome a slow,
Gentle breath in through your nose.
And allow a soft exhalation out your mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply.
Exhale slowly,
Making the ha sound.
Letting your body soften with each breath you take.
Several more breaths,
Just like that.
Very slow,
Very soft,
Deep.
Now let your body breathe on its own.
Gently.
Notice what's here,
Without trying to change anything.
Again,
Simply noticing,
Without making it mean something.
Quietly within yourself,
What you are feeling now,
Resistance,
Discomfort or pain,
Tension,
Fear of any kind,
Hesitation,
Guardedness,
Withdrawal.
Let the words be simple.
Free from story.
Free from projection.
Simply the truth of this sensation,
As it moves through your body and space.
Now gently bring your left hand to rest on your heart center.
Feel the warmth of your touch.
The steady presence beneath your palm of your own kind support.
Allow your breath to soften as you silently and softly say to yourself,
I am here now and I am choosing to stay with myself in this moment.
Again,
I am here now and I'm choosing to stay with myself in this moment.
And once more,
I am here now and I am choosing to stay with myself in this moment.
Feel that,
Receive that,
A remembrance,
A returning,
A coming home.
From this place you are no longer reaching,
No longer trying to close a gap.
Rather,
You are choosing.
Sense into the dignity in that,
The emotional steadiness.
Let your breath anchor you deeper into your heart center,
Where here you gently reconnect with your intention,
Support,
Healing,
Peace and love.
From your heart,
Let these qualities imbue your body and space.
In a specific context or relationship of your life,
Visualize yourself staying right here,
Present,
Open,
Without overextending,
Without explaining more or giving more or going beyond yourself.
Simply being,
Allowing space to exist,
A powerful patience and a spaciousness where another can meet you or not.
Yet,
All the while,
You remain anchored in love.
If it feels natural,
Offer some gentle words,
Free from pressure,
Free from attachment.
Perhaps something like,
I am sensing this from you.
Then completely release that.
There is no grasping for an outcome.
Simply open.
In truth,
No attachment.
Where you return to greater understanding and you remind yourself here,
What is yours to claim and what is not.
What's yours and what's not.
You can notice the patterns,
Yet you are still choosing you.
Let that land,
No need to repair or prove or earn.
Remaining soft,
Open,
Clear,
Self-honoring.
Gently ask yourself now,
What would it feel like to respond,
Not from lack,
Yet from wholeness?
Just listen.
Perhaps this feels like loosening your grip or stepping back in grace,
If that feels aligned.
Or perhaps the aligned action is to simply stay grounded,
Steady and open.
There is no right answer,
Only what is true for you.
Seeing the other for the beauty and light they truly are.
Let this mantra be received in your body,
In your breath.
I can love you without abandoning myself.
I can feel you and I choose to stay with me.
Let those words root into your heart.
Feel the quiet strength of this.
Sovereign love and open heart that does not move away from itself.
A non-conditional love that includes yourself.
Take one more slow,
Nourishing breath in and a long,
Steady,
Deep exhalation.
Gently begin to bring your awareness back to your body and to the space around you.
As you're ready,
Softly open your eyes.
Notice the way you're viewing the world has changed.
You seeing through the eyes of the heart in pure,
Pure love.
