Cuckoo the Cockatoo flew to Kathmandu by R.
M.
Bode.
Cuckoo the Cockatoo had one dream in sight.
He felt it in his heart.
He knew the time was right.
Cuckoo knew that he needed some restful sleep this night.
He wanted to feel refreshed and energized for tomorrow's long flight.
Cuckoo had heard rumors of the hidden valley of Kathmandu in Nepal.
A beautiful land that is isolated,
Pure,
Harmonious,
And open to all.
Cuckoo awoke and set an intention before he flew.
He was excited for his journey to the legendary Kathmandu.
Cuckoo was about to embark on this journey far from his home in Perth.
The first time in his life he had the courage to venture so far from the land of his birth.
Cuckoo flew with determination and might.
He had prepared his endurance for these next ten days of flight.
After flying for almost one day straight,
Cuckoo felt tired and found a tree to sleep in for the night.
He was exhausted and needed some rest before he flew again in the morning's first light.
Cuckoo flew and flew and flew some more.
He had flown for so long he could no longer keep score.
Cuckoo was starting to feel some distress and despair.
His hope returned when he saw the snowy peaks of the Himalayan mountains and its icy glare.
Cuckoo knew he was close now.
He was tired but determined to get to his destination anyhow.
After his long journey he made it to Kathmandu.
He was finally there.
Cuckoo perched on top of the royal palace in legendary Durbar Square.
On top of the palace,
Cuckoo saw all of the magnificent temples and courtyards that surround.
Cuckoo the Kakatou had made it to his destination.
His peace and quiet was found.
Cuckoo flew to the place he would spend the rest of his days.
And the calming garden of dreams is now where Cuckoo the Kakatou stays.
Cuckoo the Kakatou made his dream come true.
If he can make it happen,
So can you.
Always remember to be persistent and keep your goals in sight.
When the moment is right,
You'll know when to take flight.
Enjoy the rest of your day and have a restful night.
