Hello loves. Welcome to my heart. This is my reading of a piece I wrote recently called As The World Burns. The world feels heavy right now. This is my prayer to Mother Nature, to hold me through the grief. I write poetry to make sense of how I feel, or what I experience, as I make my way through this life. What my poetry means to me may be very different from what it means to you. Such is the beauty of art. I hope it touches you in the way you need to be touched, in this very moment. From my heart to yours.

Hello,

Beloveds.

I'd like to share with you today a poem that I wrote recently.

Thus,

I was out in nature,

Spending time with the trees,

The river,

The birds,

And being soothed by that,

When it feels like the world is on fire.

As the world burns.

As the world burns,

Oh,

Sweet river,

Sacred waters,

Soothe this aching heart.

As the earth wails and spirit roars,

Hold me softly in your cool embrace.

As my brothers and sisters murder,

And my brothers and sisters are murdered,

Please gently marry my sacred tears with yours.

As we plunge deeper and deeper into the depths of despair,

Please remind me,

Tender stream,

That all waters eventually return to the sea.

As the fire rages within and without,

Please offer your sweet nectar to temper the flames.

As I long for union,

For remembrance,

For all,

Please gently guide me along the way.
