Hello dear ones and welcome to today's reading.
A reading of a story I wrote called The Little Moon Beam.
So just taking a few moments now to arrive here in the space,
Wherever you are,
Wherever you've come from.
Just arriving here,
Getting ready to rest and relax.
And when you're ready dear ones,
We will begin.
Once upon a time in a small cozy house at the edge of a quiet forest there lived a little girl named Ellie.
Her house was tucked away between tall trees and soft meadows where the sun painted golden streaks across the sky each morning.
Ellie had soft brown curls that bounced with every step she took and her eyes were a warm shade of amber like the autumn leaves that crunched beneath her feet in the fall.
But what made Ellie different from other children was that she had an imaginary friend.
One who wasn't quite like any friend she'd ever heard of.
Luna,
As Ellie called her,
Was a glowing moonbeam,
Soft and silver,
Drifting down from the sky whenever it was time for Ellie to sleep.
Luna had a way of shining that made everything in the room feel peaceful,
Like the softest blanket wrapped around Ellie's heart.
Every evening as the stars twinkled awake and the moon climbed high,
Luna would float gently down from the sky,
Shining brightly but never too bright.
She was light,
Like a breath of cool air in the summer sky,
And she would always settle by Ellie's bedside,
Smiling down with the warmth of the stars.
Are you ready for your stories tonight,
Ellie?
Luna would ask in a voice that sounded like a soft lullaby,
Gentle and soothing.
Ellie would nod eagerly,
Her small hands hugging her stuffed bear tightly.
She loved the stories Luna told her,
Stories of magical worlds far beyond the reach of ordinary children.
The kind of stories where you could touch the stars,
Play with the clouds,
And even meet the most wonderful creatures.
One night,
Luna began her story.
Tonight,
I'll tell you of the great cloud kingdom,
Where the clouds are made of soft,
Sugary,
Cotton candy,
And the sky is always painted in shades of pink and purple.
Ellie's eyes widened in wonder as she listened closely.
She could almost see the kingdom in her mind,
Fluffy clouds rolling across the sky,
So beautifully colored that it seemed to glow.
In the great cloud kingdom,
The clouds were friendly and kind,
Always playing games with the wind.
Ellie could imagine running through the cotton candy skies,
Feeling the sweetness on her fingertips.
Luna continued.
And there,
In the heart of the kingdom,
Lived a little cloud princess.
Her name was Solara,
And she could change the color of the sky just by thinking about it.
She had a heart so big that the clouds followed her wherever she went,
Swirling in bright shades of gold and lavender.
Ellie smiled,
Feeling the warmth of Luna's words as she drifted off to sleep.
But the stories didn't end there.
Each night,
As the soft glow of the moonlight filtered through her window,
Luna would take Ellie on a new adventure.
One night,
They explored the forest of whispering trees,
Where the trees spoke in gentle voices,
Sharing secrets of the wind and the stars.
Ellie would laugh as the trees told her riddles and stories of hidden treasures,
Their branches swaying like dancers in the breeze.
Another night,
Luna introduced Ellie to the cloudbirds,
Small,
Feathery creatures who lived on the highest clouds.
These birds were not like ordinary birds.
They had wings that shimmered with every color of the rainbow,
And they could fly through the sky as if they were made of starlight.
The cloudbirds would sing songs so sweet,
They made the whole world feel at peace.
And then there were the moon mice,
Tiny creatures who lived in craters on the moon,
Each one carrying a tiny star as bright as a firefly.
These mice were playful and kind,
Always ready to share their moonbeam cheese with anyone who needed a little light.
Ellie loved the moon mice,
And she imagined herself climbing the tallest craters,
Laughing as the little mice guided her with their glowing stars.
But the most special story Luna ever told Ellie was about the night garden,
A hidden garden that bloomed only under the light of the full moon.
The flowers in the night garden were unlike any flowers Ellie had ever seen.
Silver petals that glowed softly in the dark,
And vines that curled around the air like soft tendrils of mist.
It was said that anyone who wandered into the night garden would feel the love of the stars surround them,
And their heart would never feel lonely again.
One night,
After telling Ellie about the night garden,
Luna spoke more softly than usual.
Do you know why I take care of you Ellie?
Why I watch over you every night?
Ellie tilted her head,
Her small hands folded beneath her chin as she listened intently.
Why?
Why Luna?
Luna's glow grew warmer,
And she gently floated closer to Ellie.
Because you are special Ellie,
You have a heart full of kindness and courage.
Even when you can't see it,
Your heart is always shining.
And I'm here to remind you that even in the darkest moments,
You are never alone.
The stars will always be with you,
And the moon will always be your guide.
Ellie smiled,
Feeling as though Luna's words wrapped around her like a soft,
Warm blanket.
I feel safe with you Luna,
And you always will,
Luna whispered,
Her soft light casting a gentle glow in the room.
I will always be here,
Watching over you from the skies,
No matter where you are.
And when you need me,
I will be beside you in the quiet moments,
Like a whisper in the wind,
Or a sparkle in the night.
From that night on,
Ellie knew that no matter what happened in the world,
She would always have Luna watching over her,
A little moonbeam who could chase away any fears.
And when the world seemed too big,
Or the night too dark,
Ellie would close her eyes,
And feel Luna's warmth surrounding her,
Knowing that she was safe.
As time passed,
Ellie grew older,
But her bond with Luna never wavered.
Every night,
Even as the world changed around her,
Luna's stories continued to fill her dreams with magic.
And each morning when Ellie woke,
She knew that no matter where she went,
Her moonbeam friend was just a thought away,
Shining brightly from the sky.
And so,
Ellie lived her days with a heart full of courage,
Kindness,
And love.
Always remembering that there was a light inside her,
One that no darkness could ever dim.
She knew that the little moonbeam would always be with her,
Taking care of her and guiding her,
Just as the stars had always promised.
And on the quietest nights,
When the moon was full and the world was still,
Ellie would look up at the sky,
Smile and whisper.
Thank you,
Luna.
Knowing that her friend would be there,
Shining softly in the night sky.
