Today I want to share with you a message about physical bodies.
Many of us grow up with all sorts of body idealistic ideas in which we all have to fit into depending on the society and the culture we live in.
Whether is the size,
The shape,
The color,
Our entire appearance matters and concerns us,
Especially for women.
Why do we worry and care so much about it?
Because we think and believe that our appearance is directly related to the love we are able to receive through our lives.
How much we will be appreciated will depend on how much we fit into that particular image we have in our minds.
Some of us grow up with such low self-esteem and self-worth that we think we have to please others through our external vehicles in order to have what we can't give to ourselves,
Which is love.
It's always love.
That is what we all want because we think we don't have it,
Because we forget that all that we are,
In fact,
Is love itself.
Then our bodies turn into objects of pleasure for others more than to ourselves.
I could give so many examples,
But let's just say that we are getting intimate with someone.
When someone touches another person,
For example,
Who is actually getting more pleasure?
The one who is being touched,
Right?
But let's say that someone who is concerned about their body image because they think it doesn't fit into whatever social idea they have in mind is the one who is being touched by the other.
That person is going to be so worried about how much the other likes their body or not that the pleasure that they were supposed to feel is mostly consumed by fear and even transferred to the other person as if they were some kind of human bodies judge with the power to decide whether their body is approved or not,
Whether they have permission to feel pleasure or not.
Our mind gets so confused on this that we completely forget who we truly are and how our bodies should be treated.
Our bodies are sacred places where we as souls are accommodated in order to have this human experience.
We came here to live,
To feel and enjoy every moment while we naturally expand our consciousness.
We are not the body and yet the body is so much on our side.
It never gives up on us.
It works until the end,
Always showing us the direction of love.
It gives us signs of well and poor function.
It screams for help and it shines of health and happiness.
The body also offers us the great phenomenon of physical pleasure through our senses in so many different ways.
We are able to experience pleasure on our own and yet we choose to share that ability with others.
It is actually a privilege to be the chosen one because we are giving our time of existence to that other person and vice versa.
However,
Because we get into the limits of the mind,
We give up on our own body rights as human beings in favor of some superficial belief.
For just a moment,
Let's close our eyes.
Let's now imagine a world in which body comparison don't exist.
There is no size,
No shape or color as reference.
In that world,
Every single body is unique,
Blessed,
Appreciated and seen as precious just as it is.
It is all about inclusion.
Now,
Let's imagine all our body's power and rights coming back to us.
We now have complete control of our choices and we choose to respect our bodies and to be grateful for their true value.
It sounds like a dream,
Right?
Everything else is the dream.
So today,
I choose to celebrate my body and be immensely grateful for its natural beauty,
For being always there for me even when I chose to ignore it or even depreciate it.
I truly and fully embrace my physicality.
No more fear.
Instead I choose love.
