Welcome,
Friends.
As the moon begins to grow in its lightness in the night sky,
In this session I wanted to explore a little bit of moon magic with the archetype of the witch.
The moon represents many things to the witch,
Goddess,
Divine feminine,
Feminine power and cycles of energy.
Often on full moon nights,
The witch will move outside and draw down the moon,
In which she draws the energy of the moon and the goddess.
And whether we connect to this idea of being a witch or simply enjoy connecting to the archetype,
Harnessing the power of each moon phase can help us connect to our own powers and mates for some very beautiful spells and rituals.
And all our ancestors would once have gazed up at that silvery glow in the night sky and tried to make sense of its rhythms.
So all of us can connect to a little magic on moon nights.
So with this in mind,
Let's create a soft and safe place to rest,
Whether that's on a chair or a soft bed or sofa.
Find a space where you can relax and be warm and feel safe this night.
Allow the cares of the day to drift away,
Thoughts and ideas and anything else that's jumping around in your mind.
Let's aim to let those things drift away.
Letting the body relax as each exhale creates a release.
As we let go of muscles,
Joints and bones.
Our journey tonight in our minds eye will take us to a magical night garden.
As you stand barefoot upon grass,
A great arch curves around in front of you,
A doorway completely circular known as a moon gate.
Wound around this circle gate,
This archway,
Are beautiful white roses intertwined with jasmine and moon flowers that are so bright and white that they sparkle,
Reflecting the crescent moon in the night sky above you.
The scent of these flowers is beautiful,
Soft and welcoming,
And you draw closer to the moon gate.
You are drawn to step through,
And it is as though you have stepped through a portal from the day to day world of tasks and deadlines,
Of washing up,
Of tidying the house,
Of driving to work.
We have left all those things behind as we move into a garden of magic,
Where the flowers sparkle and the scent is so beautiful it seems to whirl around you.
You are drawn into this magical place.
Tree branches cast loving arms around and above you,
And hanging from these trees are lanterns with candles within,
Wind chimes and bells that tinkle gently in the soft night breezes.
Perhaps the hoot of a friendly owl,
And maybe just the sense that there may be magical creatures near,
Peering over snowdrops and hiding behind leaves.
The friendly fairies of the garden welcome you from their safe spaces.
At the center of this magical garden is a beautiful pool of water,
The water so clear and clean and calm that it reflects the night sky,
Stars and crescent moon sparkle in the water.
You are drawn to this beautiful water to gaze upon the reflections cast on its surface.
Petals of the white roses and little jasmine blooms float upon the water.
This body of water is a healing bath created just for you.
As you dip your bare feet into the water,
The water is warm and soothing.
So you descend a little deeper into the water,
You feel smooth marble beneath your feet.
As you descend into the water,
Let it rise up around you,
Still and calm,
Enveloping you in warmth like a hug.
You feel the water take the weight of your body,
You feel weightless in this space.
And so you lay back into the water,
Your ears are submerged as you lay back and all becomes completely quiet as you gaze up at the stars and moon above you.
Completely supported,
Completely weightless amongst the flowers,
The stars and the sparkling water.
And of course,
Watched over by the moon.
You feel the water take the weight of your body,
You feel weightless amongst the flowers,
The stars and moon above you.
You feel the water take the weight of your body,
You feel weightless amongst the flowers,
The stars and moon above you.
You feel the water take the weight of your body,
You feel weightless amongst the flowers,
The stars and moon above you.
You feel the water take the weight of your body,
You feel weightless amongst the flowers,
The stars and moon above you.
Drifting in this water.
You feel as though a little weight has been washed away from you,
A little tension released from your body.
You have not cast a spell or done any ritual,
But this simple ancient magic of water cleansing away tension under the light of the moon helps you feel refreshed and nourished.
And as you gently rise from this watery pool,
Someone or something has left a beautiful warm robe hanging from a tree branch.
It is beautiful shades of silver and it sparkles.
As you wrap it around you,
You feel warm and cozy.
Nourished and somehow strengthened from your experience as though you have cast away,
Washed away,
Let go of just a few things that no longer serve you.
So as the time comes to leave the night garden,
To pass once more back through the moon gate,
It is time to return to the world.
But you can stay restful for as long as you wish,
Perhaps a few final moments with the flowers and the stars and the fairies of the magic garden.
Stay here as long as you wish.
Good night witches.
May you always find a little comfort and magic in the night.
Thank you for watching!
