Welcome to Living a Life of Gratitude.

I'm Sarah Wiseman.

The young saint.

It's late afternoon and once again I've been working at an event all day.

The crowd has slowed and I'm thinking about packing up my booth for a while but something compels me to wait.

So I wait.

I wait because something compels me and I wait because in my mind I hear a voice say,

Wait.

And I wait because when I write in my journal,

Is it time to leave?

The phrase is written instantly,

Be still and wait.

And so I wait.

A young dark-haired woman walks by and smiles and I'm quite sure that she's not the one I'm waiting for.

She's so young,

She looks so happy and peaceful.

Surely she doesn't require my help.

There's no one else around and I decide that instructions to wait or not,

I'm ready to go.

I stand to pack up my booth and in a flash this woman has already slipped into my chair and she's smiling and laughing.

The most relaxed and joyous being I've met in a long time.

She's from Mexico City,

She says.

She's taken a year off for nothing else except to explore her spiritual path.

She's traveling the world in search of whatever it is that God would like to show her,

Tell her,

Have her understand.

She's already traveled California,

Oregon,

Washington,

Moving steadily north.

She'll go to Hawaii next week and then to India.

She is traveling alone.

She is 28 years old with a tiny frame and her glossy black hair is cut short so that she looks like a boy,

A child really.

She is vulnerable traveling in the world and yet it is clear that nothing has harmed her,

That no ill will comes to pass.

She is absolutely protected at all times because of the grace of her being.

We talk for an hour,

Maybe more,

About all that we have each seen,

The spiritual experiences we have had,

The way we understand things and with every passing moment I realized that it is she who is the spiritual teacher to me.

It is she who is the healer.

She had not been seeking me.

I had been waiting for her.

My vibration rises up and up and up to overflowing in the presence of this woman,

This joyous and peaceful soul as she speaks of what she has seen and what she has understood.

At long last we part as the dearest friends,

The sweetest sisters and she blesses me with fragrant oil from India and she gifts me with a tiny quartz crystal no bigger than the tip of my pinky.

It is divine illumination,

The light that it emits.

Later that evening in my hotel room and later yet on the road home and even months later as I write this,

This young woman comes into my mind,

This young saint in the making.

I am so glad I waited.

We do not know when we will come in contact with a spiritual teacher,

A person who lives with a foot in both worlds,

Etheric and earth.

This can happen to us at any time when we are relaxed and open and when we remember to wait.

Today wait thankfully for the miracle to arrive in your life.
