Welcome to I AM,
Scripture-based affirmations.
Try this powerful exercise.
List out all the lies you've been believing about yourself.
Think negative things that you say or even think,
But know that you shouldn't.
Take that list in prayer before the Lord and ask him what he says about you.
Open his word,
Find scripture that supports God's perspective.
Write affirmations that begin,
I AM.
Read or record them aloud for yourself.
To get you started,
Let's presume that you believe yourself to be incapable.
Using as a basis Psalm 71 verses 5 and 6 and 2 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 4,
You might write an affirmation such as,
I AM protected by the Lord God.
I AM filled with confidence through Christ.
I AM the daughter of a trustworthy Savior.
Some of these scripture-based truths sink in as I say them aloud over your body,
Mind,
And spirit.
I AM seated next to Jesus in the heavenly realm.
I AM the daughter or son of a king.
I AM more than a conqueror.
I find refuge in the safe embrace of the Father.
I AM secure in my future.
I AM confident.
I will never be separated from the love of God.
God always hears my voice.
I will not be moved.
I have strength in the Lord.
I AM not defined by my past.
I AM healed.
I AM strong and courageous.
I AM able to do the impossible with Him.
I AM comforted in my worries.
I trust the Lord.
I AM fearfully and wonderfully made.
Lord,
We pray that the truth of your word is adequate provision for our soul.
God help us to take our lies ever before the throne and exchange them for the truth of who you say we are.
Thank you for your love and your grace,
Lord.
In Jesus' name we pray,
Amen.
