Yoga Nidra,
A guided meditation for goddess Bhuvaneshwari.
She's the goddess of creative possibility of infinite space,
The goddess of the worlds,
A great mother.
She is dedicated to holding us during the process of opening and transformation.
This practice is recommended for invoking the ability to hold sacred and meditative space for yourself and others to dissolve differences,
For empowering activities to create at the highest level,
To accept one's humanness as part of your divinity,
To invoke the goddess's grace,
To identify yourself with the earth and all living things.
And to experience your own body is sacred,
The experience of full embodiment.
Now it's time to get ready for Yoga Nidra.
So lie down in a comfortable position on the floor in Shavasana,
A relaxed pose,
With your arms resting alongside your body,
Palms turned up to the sky and your legs outstretched and relaxed,
And your feet in a comfortable position.
Make any desired adjustments to your clothes and body position.
In this guided meditation,
You will just listen and follow my voice as I guide you.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is the act of hearing and feeling.
These are the only important factors.
Say to yourself mentally now,
I will not sleep,
I will only listen to the voice guiding me.
Take a deep breath in and feel calmness spreading throughout your body.
As you breathe out,
Say to yourself mentally,
Relax.
You are relaxing completely and calm and steady.
Now allow a feeling of inner relaxation to filter throughout the whole body.
Concentrate on the body and its stillness.
Now focus your awareness of the body at the top of the head,
Traveling down to the tips of your toes,
And mentally repeat the mantra.
Complete stillness and complete awareness of the whole body again.
Continue your awareness of the whole body,
The whole body,
The whole body.
Now become aware of the fact that you're going to practice Yoga Nidra.
Mentally say to yourself,
I am aware and I'm going to practice Yoga Nidra.
Yoga Nidra begins now.
It's time to make a resolve.
Choose a sankalpa,
An intention you plant and cultivate within yourself.
It should be a short and positive statement in simple language.
Now repeat your intention,
Your resolve three times with full awareness,
Feeling and emphasis.
The resolve,
The intention you make during Yoga Nidra always comes true with time and practice.
We are now going to begin the rotation of consciousness throughout the body,
Visiting each of its parts.
As quickly as possible,
Allow your awareness to travel from part to part.
Repeat the body part in your mind and simultaneously become aware of that body part.
Stay alert,
But do not concentrate too intensely.
Now become aware of the right hand.
Relax your right hand thumb,
Second finger,
Third,
Fourth,
Fifth.
Become aware of the palm of your hand,
The backside of your hand,
The wrist,
Relax your lower arm,
The elbow,
The upper arm,
The shoulder,

Kneecap,
Calf muscle,
The ankle,
Relax your heel,

The top of the right foot,
Big toe,

Now become aware of the left hand and thumb.
Relax the second finger,
Third,
Fourth,
Fifth.
Relax the palm of the hand,
Backside of the left hand,
Your wrist,
Lower arm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Shoulder,
Armpit,
Left side of the waist,
Relax your left hip,
Your left thigh,
Kneecap,
Calf muscle,
The ankle,
Your left heel,
Sole of the left foot and the top of the foot,
The big toe,
Second,
Third,
Fourth and fifth.
Now move for relaxation to the back.
Become aware of the right shoulder blade and the left shoulder blade.
Relax the right side of your bottom and then the left side.
Relax your spine and whole back.
Now move your attention to the top of the head.
Relax the top of the head.
Relax your forehead,
Both sides of your head.
Relax your right eyebrow,
Relax your left eyebrow.
Relax the space between the eyebrows.
Relax the right eyelid and the left eyelid.
Relax your right eye and relax your left eye.
Relax your right ear and your left ear.
Right side of the cheek and the left cheek.
Relax your nose and the tip of your nose,
Your upper lip and lower lip.
Relax your chin and throat and the right side of the chest and then your left side of the chest.
Relax the middle of the chest.
Relax your navel and abdomen.
Now relax and focus your attention on the whole right leg.
Relax the whole left leg.
Relax both legs.
Now focus and relax the whole right arm,
Whole left arm,
Both arms.
Now relax the whole back,
Your bottom,
Relax your spine and the shoulder blades,
The whole front side of the body,
Your stomach and your chest.
Relax your whole back and your whole front together.
Relax the whole head,
Whole of the body,
The whole body,
The whole body.
Please do not sleep,
Total awareness,
No sleeping.
Now with the whole body lying on the floor,
Become aware of the whole body lying on the floor.
Your body is lying on the floor and you see your body lying perfectly still on the floor in this room.
Visualize this image of yourself in your mind.
Now bring your attention to the natural breath.
Become aware that you are breathing quietly and calmly,
Conscious only of your breath.
You walk alone in the desert,
Feet on the still warm early evening sands,
Day transitioning to night.
Endless undulating dunes radiate out in all four sacred directions around you.
Without borders,
Without limits,
Endless expansion.
The open dome night sky above you extending forever,
You walk a while and then sit down beneath the swirling heavens,
The Milky Way coming to life all around you.
Space,
Space,
Space,
Space that pulses with creative fullness,
Endless possibilities.
In this desert,
The open heavens above,
You hear and sense a subtle pulse.
You feel it radiating up into your body from Mother Earth herself and enveloping you from the atmosphere radiating down from above.
The pulse of life and its endless creative fullness filled with wisdom and infinite love.
All that you can conceive and the unimaginable arises from this infinite spaciousness and holds and contains everything.
You viscerally feel the freedom of the infinite space and endless possibility,
The great cosmic womb all around you and is you.
You are held by this infinite motherly space,
The limitless potential.
You are in the embrace of goddess Bhuvaneshwari.
The sky and earth,
She is everything.
She kindly looks upon you with her three eyes symbolizing her total knowledge of all the worlds of manifestation.
Her large full breasts displaying her ability to nourish all beings with her essence of life.
She smiles at you with love with thin lips and dark red garnet eyes that radiate from her beautiful face.
She upon her jeweled bed wearing red robes and in crimson garland.
She smells of sandalwood and holds a goad showing her control over the physical world.
In her other hand,
She holds a bowl overflowing with jewels,
While her other hands make gestures,
Bestowing boons and dispelling your fear.
From her earlobes hang golden earrings in the form of the Sri Yantra as the Bija mantra sounds from every particle of air.
A flock of birds flies overhead,
Singing Bhuvaneshwari holds you mother of worlds from which whole universes arise and return to.
A light rain begins to fall freshness fills the air to the earth and atmosphere and up into space you release your anxiety and fears.
She Bhuvaneshwari swallowing them whole.
You offer her your guilt,
Your losses,
Your emotional upheaval,
Your excesses of thoughts.
She takes it all and dissolves it,
Offering it back to you transformed from her cosmic dark infinite womb.
Plants and flowers begin to spring forth from the sands filling the night air with fragrant scents,
Flowers and plants that have been waiting for just this opportune rain to come and release and realize full life like you.
Resolve,
Resolve,
Resolve.
Now become aware of your intention to resolve your sankalpa,
Your intention that you made at the beginning of this practice.
Repeat it to yourself three times.
With the same intensity of feeling and emphasis.
Now relax all efforts and bring your attention to the natural flowing breath coming in and out of the nostrils and your mouth.
You are maintaining the awareness of your breath while at the same time you begin to develop the awareness of your physical relaxation.
Awareness of relaxation and awareness of your physical existence.
You are becoming more and more aware of your physical body.
Now develop awareness of your body and visualize your body lying on the floor.
Now allowing your mind to visualize the surrounding room.
Let your mind become completely external.
But do not open your eyes.
You are practicing yoga nidra.
Lie quietly until your attention is completely externalized.
Now start moving your body and stretching yourself out.
Please take your time,
There's no hurry.
And when you are sure you're wide awake,
Turn on to your right side,
Pause,
And then sit up slowly and open your eyes.
The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.
Om,
I offer salutations to the auspicious lady of space,
Manifester of worlds,
Bhuvaneshwari.
