Now it's time to get ready for Yoga Nidra.
So lie down on your back in a comfortable position on the floor in Shavasana.
Make any necessary changes in this relaxed pose,
Adjusting your clothes,
With your arms resting alongside your body,
Palms turned up towards the sky,
And your legs outstretched and relaxed,
Feet in a comfortable position.
Again,
Make any desired adjustments to your clothes and body position.
In this guided meditation,
You will just listen and follow my voice as I guide you.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is the act of hearing and feeling.
These are the only important factors.
Say to yourself mentally now,
I will not sleep.
I will only listen to the voice guiding me.
Take a deep breath in,
Feeling calmness spreading throughout your whole body.
As you breathe out,
Say to yourself mentally,
Relax.
You are relaxing completely and calm and steady.
Now allow a feeling of inner relaxation to filter throughout the whole body.
Concentrate on the body in its stillness.
Focus your awareness of the body at the top of the head,
Traveling down to the tips of your toes and mentally repeat the mantra.
Complete stillness and complete awareness of the whole body.
Again.
OM HREEM SHREEM LAKSHMI VIYO NAMAHA Continue your awareness of the whole body,
The whole body,
The whole body.
Now become aware of the fact that you are going to practice Yoga Nidra.
Mentally say to yourself,
I am aware I am going to practice Yoga Nidra.
Yoga Nidra begins now.
Now it's time to make and choose your resolve,
Asankalpa,
An intention you plant to cultivate within yourself.
It should be a short and positive statement in simple language.
Now repeat it to yourself three times with awareness,
Feeling and emphasis in simple language.
The resolve,
The intention you make during Yoga Nidra always comes true with time and practice.
We are now beginning the rotation of consciousness throughout the body,
Visiting each of its parts.
As quickly as possible allow your awareness to travel to part to part.
Repeat the body part in your mind and simultaneously become aware of that part of the body.
Stay alert but do not concentrate too intensely.

Now relax and focus your attention on the whole right leg and then the whole left leg,
Both legs.
Now focus and relax the whole right arm,
Now the whole left arm,
Both arms.
Relax the whole back,
Your bottom and spine.
Relax your shoulder blades,
The whole front of your body,
Your stomach and chest,
The whole back and your whole front together.
Relax the whole of your head,
The whole of your body,
The whole body,
The whole body.
Please do not sleep,
Total awareness,
No sleeping.
Now with the whole body lying on the floor,
Become aware of the whole body lying on the floor.
Your body is lying on the floor and you see your body lying perfectly still on the floor in this room.
Visualize this image of yourself in your mind.
Now bring your attention to the natural breath.
Become aware that you are breathing quietly and calmly,
Conscious of only your breath.
At the edge of an open circular ground cave on a tropical island,
Lush jungle at your back,
Heavy with plump fruits and sparkling open calm ocean before you,
You gaze down through the sacred opening into Mother Earth at the bejeweled glinting turquoise waters below.
Verdant vines with red and pink and rose-like smelling flowers stream down into this magical earth womb.
A cloudless summer sky shines above you and the sacred space.
You distend the stone symmetrical spiral staircase down into this beautiful welcoming place of refuge.
Arriving at a harmoniously tiled floor alongside an aquamarine colored pool,
Crystal gems and pebble-like pearls shine from the pool's floor.
The sound of the sea outside this protected oceanside cave sounds of a baldy springtime song with intermittent shrieks,
Lakshmi's Bija mantra,
The sound of auspiciousness sailing on the sweet fresh air.
You can taste richness,
Beauty and love upon your lips and tongue.
You sit upon a gem studded bench,
Resting your feet on soft cushy luxuriant moss.
There floating at the pool's edge on an enormous pink lotus and the finest of rosy pink colored silks with golden embroidery at the hems and sprinkled with gold dust is Goddess Lakshmi.
From her amber body radiates a golden light whose glow fuses with the warm rays of sunlight shining down into this sacred abode,
Illuminating and radiating pure love into this place and you as your eyes meet her loving gaze.
Lakshmi's beautiful face and body exude splendor from her large almond shaped eyes and bow-like smile radiates intimate love.
Lustrous dark hair blankets her shoulders in waves and she wears golden necklaces and bracelets.
Her right hand is raised in a gesture dispelling fear and from the other hand drips golden coins which fall as blessings into your heart,
Your being.
The beauty of this natural place with its art compliments along with Goddess Lakshmi's beauty seizes you as you gaze into her eyes,
You realizing that she sees you for who you are,
For who you view thee are.
She knows you,
Your soul,
And that she loves you infinitely.
She invites you to ask for a gift of her grace.
She in this place with her catalyzing beauty and love invites and demands your transformation,
Catapulting you into a part of yourself that is deeper than your holding back,
Deeper than any self-doubt you may have about yourself and your capabilities.
You are awed and bathed in Lakshmi's radiance and any barriers to transformation are dissolved and released and transmuted in her divine presence of transforming beauty.
You open yourself fully to her cleansing and rejuvenating stream of golden light.
You feel yourself as a beautiful and exquisite flower opening completely and radiating your full potential in all spheres.
A thrill of rapturous happiness fills your whole being.
Blissful golden light fills your heart,
Every cell as you embody as you are Goddess Lakshmi.
Resolve,
Resolve,
Resolve.
Now become aware of your resolve,
Your sankalpa,
Your intention,
The one that you made at the beginning of this practice.
Repeat it to yourself three times in the same words and with the same intensity of feeling and emphasis.
Now relax all efforts and bring your attention to the natural flowing breath coming in and out of your nostrils and your mouth.
You are maintaining the awareness of your breath while at the same time you begin to develop the awareness of your physical relaxation.
Awareness of relaxation and awareness of your physical existence.
Becoming more and more aware of your physical body.
Now develop awareness of your body and visualize your body lying on the floor.
Allowing your mind to visualize the surrounding room.
Let your mind become completely external.
But do not open your eyes.
You are practicing yoga nidra.
Lie quietly until your attention is completely externalized.
Now start moving your body and stretching yourself out.
Please take your time,
There's no hurry.
Relax your mind.
Reaching your arms up overhead,
Small movements with your hands and feet.
And then turning onto your right side and pausing there a moment.
And when you are sure you are awake,
Sit up slowly and open your eyes.
The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.
