Hey there!
Come,
Sit here beside me.
I have found a mossy rock for you too to sit on.
And yes,
I am really here,
High in the Pyrenees Mountains,
At a freshwater spring that flows out of the rocks.
For thousands of years,
Catalans have come to this exact spring to get fresh water to drink,
But also to sit and to listen.
And now,
You are here too.
This water nourishes each cell of the body with nature's energy.
While we sit here,
Let's take what I like to call a sacred pause.
Gently,
Close your eyes,
Drop your shoulders,
And feel the cool breeze shaped by this rushing water as it pours from deep inside this ancient mountain.
Nature moves in rhythms,
Endless,
Repeating its nature's mantra.
Now,
I like to do this.
It's something my teacher,
David Gee,
Taught me.
Visualize an infinity symbol as it rests on its side.
And now,
In harmony with the sound of the water,
Using your mind's eye,
Begin to trace it slowly around and around,
Continuously,
As you breathe softly and naturally.
You can match it to the rhythm of the water.
And we will sit with this together for a few minutes.
If your mind drifts away,
And it probably will,
Just gently connect back to the rhythm,
To the mantra of the water.
Let's begin now.
Nature is not just a place to visit.
It is our home.
And its mantras are all around you,
Waiting for you to listen.
