Hey there,
It's LisaJ,
And it's so wonderful to be here together with you.
Let's just arrive gently in this moment,
Shall we?
And I have a question real quick for you.
Have you been mindfully breathing today?
If not,
That's okay.
Life gets busy,
But we get to breathe together right now.
First,
Let's exhale whatever you've been carrying around inside of you with a big,
Easy sigh.
Ready?
That's nice.
Okay,
Let's take a slow breath in.
Breath in.
And breath out.
Let's do that again.
Breath in.
Breath out.
A few weeks ago,
I was in my Zoom class.
It was David G.
's Masters of Wisdom and Meditation teacher training program.
And yes,
I know that's a mouthful.
And David G.
Had a guest for us.
It was Ayurvedic guide,
The insightful Reema Shah.
Now,
Ayurveda,
A lot of you will know this,
But for those who don't,
It's the world's oldest medicinal system.
And Reema shared something simple and powerful.
Each of us is born with a unique blueprint,
Unlike anyone presently on Earth,
Or before we were born,
Or probably after we will have been here.
It's a natural composition that doesn't change.
And in Ayurveda,
This is called your dosha.
You can look at it as a baseline.
It's your natural way of being.
But as our lives unfold,
Like in many things,
We drift away.
It happens when we move somewhere new.
With the choices we make and what we eat,
How we move,
How we rest,
How we don't rest.
We move away from our natural balance.
And over time,
We can really get out of sync.
In the mind,
In the body,
Especially in our emotions.
Okay,
This feels like a good time to pause.
Let's do another breath in and breath out.
No rush.
Okay,
Are you ready?
Breath in.
And breath out.
There are so many voices in the world telling you who to be,
What to change,
What to fix.
But you know what?
All of that,
Most of that is noise.
Because they don't know you.
They don't know me.
They don't even know themselves.
And as Rima shared with us,
Your mind,
Your body,
Your energy,
Already know the way.
You are not broken.
You've just gotten out of alignment with your dosha.
So,
Maybe the question we should be asking ourselves is not,
How do I become someone else?
Maybe the question should be,
In fact,
The question should be,
How do I return back to my rhythm?
Back to my balance.
Back to my center.
And just be here.
As you started out,
You are uniquely you.
Whole,
Balanced,
And enough.
And it's time to get back to that.
Because you are enough.
