Without really thinking about it,
We give different attributes to different days of the week.
So Mondays fill many with dread.
Many thank God for Friday.
Saturdays are a sporting day,
Or a time for doing DIY.
Sundays are a day of rest or worship,
Or for spending with the family.
Of course this doesn't apply to people of a Jewish or Islamic faith,
Who work all weekend and have Friday as their day of reverence.
So our days are almost literally a moveable feast.
And the names of the days of the week all have a background meaning based on gods or goddesses.
This of course has varied over time and across different cultures.
But when we live our life timefully,
We can choose what our days hold for us.
We can elect what new gods we would like to work with.
So I've come up with some new definitions.
So Monday,
I want to call it Me Day.
A day where we can focus on ourselves.
Tuesday,
We'll call it Tuesday.
The day we spend with our loved ones or our business partners.
Wednesday,
I've called Weeds Day.
A day to clear our clutter.
Thursday,
It's called Chores Day.
The day to get those jobs done you've always been wanting to do.
Friday is a free day.
On this day you can do anything you like at all.
And Saturday,
I've called Sitter Day.
That's a day just to relax,
Sit down,
Collect your thoughts,
Have a bit of fun.
And then Sunday,
Let's call that a Sunny Day.
That's the day to be outside.
So breathe in,
And breathe down.
So for each day in the week,
Either be mindful of the essence of each of these days as you move through it,
Or simply take an hour or so out from each day to undertake a task that embraces the spirit of each day.
And you'll find you'll have the most magical week.
So remember,
I just made these days up,
So why not be creative and make your own days up for days in the week.
Once you've made them up,
Make sure you stick to them and you will notice how much more you will enjoy your time.
