This poem was inspired by the background music Tree Song by Sïrï an amazing teacher here on Insight Timer. Encouraging all of us to walk outside amongst the trees, letting go of what may hold us. Especially during the transformative shift of the equinox.

Finding Self with the Trees Song She tiptoes along a jigsaw path Beneath a canopy where the shadows dance Towards the ancient trees Then plants her feet where the roots run deep Leans in close to hear them speak of her truth The forest,

Well,

It's her refuge Up from all those firestones of battle she's endured Right here,

In this space,

She's reborn Releasing haunts from her past In the midst of distant mountaintops she shifts While the leaves turn Shredding layers,

Both aligned Dropping in to the wisdom of the trees In this special time,

She understands There's no more putting herself down And she and the tree sway Together they rise Under the blue skies
