Transcript

Welcome to this meditation practice of detachment and freedom.

Take a moment to sit comfortably or lay comfortably and allow your eyes to gently close if it's comfortable to do so.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.

Repeat this two more times,

Breathing in through your nose.

Exhale slowly through your mouth and again in through your nose.

Exhale slowly through your mouth.

Allow your breathing to go back to its natural rhythm as you draw your attention to your heart center.

Allow your attention to rest here,

Focusing on your breath as the air comes in and releases through your nose,

Detaching your mind,

Body and soul from the burdens you carry,

Releasing your being of the weight that holds you down,

Driven by fear,

Anxiety,

Past mistakes,

Lack of forgiveness,

Hurt and emotional pain,

Creating the space for freedom,

Peace,

Love and joy to enter your life.

During this practice,

You will release the thoughts and emotions that imprison you from living a life of peace,

Joy and happiness,

Opening the door to complete freedom and light,

Leaving the darkness behind.

Imagine a bag full of rocks sitting in front of you,

And each rock is associated with something that you carry with you every day that weighs you down and prevents you from being light and free.

Imagine these rocks being cemented to various parts of your body,

Starting with your feet,

Your shins,

Your legs,

Cemented to your hips and your abdomen,

Your chest,

Your shoulders and your arms,

Holding you captive and imprisoned to the feelings and thoughts that you've carried with you.

For each rock,

Place a fear,

Anxiety,

A past mistake,

The name of someone that you want to forgive,

A hurt or pain that you've carried with you,

Labeling it with the intention to release it and free it from your body.

Now,

Imagine the cement loosening and the rocks becoming loose.

Feel the weight of the rock releasing from your feet and your toes becoming free to move and wiggle.

There goes the fear that you've been carrying with you.

As you scan up your body,

Feel rocks moving from your shins and your knees,

Releasing the anxiety that you have been carrying with you.

Feel the lightness begin to flow through your toes and up your legs.

As you feel the weight lifting from your hips,

Imagine the past mistakes that you've carried with you,

Lifting and leaving your body.

And as that lightness begin to become more and more prominent,

And the weight from your abdomen and your chest moves,

Imagine the forgiveness that you're sending out to those that you need to forgive in order to be free from the burdens of forgiveness.

Feel your heart becoming lighter and more full of love and joy as you send out this forgiveness into the world.

And as the energy and the weight is lifted from your shoulders and your head,

The lightness becomes more and more prominent,

And the hurt and emotional pain that you've been carrying with you is lifting from your entire being and sending it out into the universe and welcoming in peace and love into your mind and your body and freeing your soul of these burdens that you've carried.

This freedom that you feel within your body is light,

It's glorious,

And there's a beam of white light that is just shining through you and giving you that peace that you've longed for.

Your mind is clear,

Your heart is open and full,

And the joy and the love and the light that you feel that is filling your body as the energy flows effortlessly through your body from toes to temple is freeing you from the burdens that you've carried and detaching you from all the things that have held you down and held you back from entering that space of complete freedom,

Peace,

And joy.

As you embrace this new feeling of lightness,

This new feeling of love,

This new feeling of freedom,

You discover the space that allows you to release the grip of all of these things that have held you back when held you down,

Creating a newfound way to move forward that invites all that is good into your life and all that is good into your soul,

Letting go of the darkness and the burdens,

Releasing your mind,

Your body,

And your soul,

No longer carrying these things that have attached themselves to you,

And freeing your body to be healthy,

Freeing your mind to be clear,

And freeing your soul to be loved and nurtured.

Carry this feeling with you into your day and see the beauty that is waiting for you,

The love that is there shining for you,

And the light that brightens for you.

And any time you feel the weight or the darkness coming back,

Return to this practice and release those burdens and carry them no more.

As we bring this practice to a close,

Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly as the final release of all the burdens you've carried and feel the lightness and the freedom that follows.

And know that you are loved and you are cherished and you are blessed.

Most of all,

You are free.

With peace,

Light,

And love from the heart.
