Allow yourself to unwind with this gentle healing light body scan. Guided by a warm, nourishing light, you’ll release physical tension and mental stress, finding relaxation and calm throughout your entire body. This practice will leave you feeling supported, centered, and connected to the inner warmth always within you.

This is Carly.

I'm happy that you've taken time out of your day for self-care and you've chosen to join me for this healing light body scan.

I invite you to lie down or take a comfortable seated position,

Bringing with you anything that might feel supportive,

A blanket,

A pillow,

Or any other props to allow you to feel held and supported during this body scan.

During this time,

There'll be a warm light that I'll be guiding through your body.

This light is there to support you in the relaxation of your physical muscles,

As well as any mental thoughts being released.

Thus,

Allowing relaxation both physically and mentally.

Once you've gotten into a comfortable position,

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose,

And exhale through your mouth.

Another deep breath in through your nose,

And exhale through your mouth,

Fully releasing into the support beneath you.

Allow your muscles to be heavy,

As if they're melting into the support.

Envision a bright,

Warm light starting at your feet,

And as you inhale,

This light grows brighter,

Bigger,

Warmer,

And as you exhale,

It softens and settles.

This healing light moves to your ankles,

Up through your shins,

And into your calves,

Illuminating and warming along the way.

This light then travels to your knees,

Where it stops,

And as you inhale,

It grows brighter,

Bigger,

Warmer,

And as you exhale,

It softens and settles,

Releasing any pressure in and around your knees.

This warming light travels up to your thighs,

Illuminating in the back of the thighs and the hamstrings,

In the front of the thighs,

The quadriceps,

Releasing any tightness.

As the light moves,

It stops and settles in your hips,

And as you inhale,

This light grows brighter,

Bigger,

Warmer,

And as you exhale,

It softens and settles,

Releasing any tension in your hip flexors,

And around the front,

Side,

And back of your hips.

This healing light now travels up into your midsection,

Warming in the belly area,

Soothing and supporting all your organs,

Allowing them to function with ease.

Simultaneously,

The light moves in the lower back,

Warming and releasing the muscles in the lower and mid-back.

This healing light continues to travel into the chest space and upper back,

Where it stops and settles,

And as you inhale,

The light grows brighter,

Bigger,

Warmer,

And as you exhale,

It softens and settles,

Filling your heart space with warming,

Nourishing,

Loving light.

As the light stays settled here in the heart space,

It spreads up into your shoulders,

Releasing tension in the neck and the upper back,

Allowing them to further melt and release.

Stay here for a moment,

Breathing into this healing light in the heart space,

Breathing in love and exhaling love.

The light now travels down your arms,

Moving through the biceps,

Triceps,

And stops in the elbows.

As you inhale,

It grows brighter,

Bigger,

Warmer,

And as you exhale,

It softens and settles.

This healing light travels down through your forearms,

Wrists,

And settles into your hands,

And as you inhale,

It grows brighter,

Bigger,

Warmer,

Illuminating through each of your fingertips,

And as you exhale,

It softens and settles.

As you breathe naturally here,

Your entire body is illuminated with warm,

Nourishing,

Healing light.

With each inhale,

This light illuminates brighter,

Bigger,

Warmer throughout your entire body,

And as you exhale,

It softens and settles,

Continuing to glow throughout the entire body.

Lie here for a few moments with the light.

As you inhale,

Visualize it glowing brighter,

Warming any tight spaces,

And as you exhale,

Visualize it settling and healing.

Notice the support beneath you.

Feel how it connects with the body.

Notice your breath,

And notice the movement it creates in the belly and in the chest.

Notice any sounds that you might hear.

It might feel nice to just start to create a little bit of movement in the body by gently wiggling the fingers and the toes.

As you do so,

Take a deep breath in.

Open mouth,

Exhale.

When you're ready,

Very,

Very slowly open your eyes,

Still feeling connected to the warming,

Nourishing light within you.

You may continue to rest here,

Or very,

Very slowly start to raise yourself up and continue your day knowing that this light is always within you,

And you can always access it to feel warm,

Nourished,

And calm.
