Thank you for joining me. This meditation is inspired by “Letting Go of Perfection” from Living a Life of Awareness by Don Miguel Ruiz Jr., a reminder that we are whole, even in our mistakes. I free-flowed this meditation, speaking love into myself aloud, and recorded it. Listen with gratitude as it meets you where you are. Release judgment and any “laws of perfection” we’ve inherited or created. I also include a chant by Rev. Dr. Edward Viljoen: There is only One Life. That Life is God’s Life. That Life is perfect. That Life is my life now. Define God as you wish. May this meditation hug your heart and bring you closer to unconditional love. Namaste.

Let's stop.

Let's take a break.

Whatever you're doing right now can wait.

Just get comfortable in your skin.

Comfortable in your body.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

And hold it at the top.

Feeling the energy run through your body.

Exhale out through your mouth.

Taking another deep breath in through your nose.

And holding it at the top.

And exhale.

Taking this moment right now to love and to honor yourself.

Letting go and releasing your attachments to what you believe that it means to be perfect.

And stop judging yourself for not meeting your own expectations.

And accepting yourself for who you are in every moment.

The shadows.

The light.

Every piece of you must exist.

Every piece of you is sacred.

Every piece of you is what makes you the beautiful person that you are.

Taking a deep breath in.

Learning to love yourself.

And giving yourself gratitude every morning for just being alive.

For just existing.

For just being here.

Experiencing this beautiful,

Beautiful life filled with light.

Filled with dark.

Filled with chaos and filled with calm.

And accepting.

Accepting every way that you've navigated through this life.

Releasing judgment.

Releasing the judgment that you hold for yourself.

And accepting who you are.

Exactly who you are in every way.

Taking a deep breath in.

Holding at the top.

Feeling the energy move through your body.

Breaking free from the shackles of your past.

Those old judgments that you've had for yourself.

And releasing them with every breath.

You're perfect just the way you are.

You are perfect just the way you are.

Knowing there is only one life.

And this life is God's life.

This life is perfect.

This life is your life now.

Accepting your faults.

Accepting your strengths.

I love you.

Leave behind every fake and false ideals of perfection.

Leave behind the stories you've created of what it means to be perfect.

You are already perfect.

Every piece.

Every piece of you.

Opening your chest.

And when you're ready you can open your eyes.

Look at yourself in the mirror.

And say,

I love you.

I am grateful for every part of you.
