Hello friends,
Thank you for being here.
I have been less active on social media and inside timer these last few weeks.
Because when you're the kind of person who's always looking for the bright side and suddenly you can't find one,
You step back,
You wait.
It is hard to know what to say or do in times like these,
Don't you agree?
It is hard when every time you check the news all you see is more violence,
More injustice,
More pain inflicted on people who did nothing wrong.
When society seems to have stepped back 50 years instead of moving toward progress.
Some of us have been speaking up against child abuse,
Misogyny,
Racism,
LGBTQ phobia and other injustices for so long.
And yet they seem to always grow back.
So we turn our voices down for a while and try to think of a new way to make things better.
And then there's the fire horse who is supposed to clean up bad energies so a new wiser world can emerge.
Is it possible that the chaos we are witnessing signals the end of an era?
Can we trust that after the bloodbath will come unity?
And maybe more importantly,
How can we make sense of the lives shattered or lost?
Isn't it indecent to consider all this horrible suffering the last season of the old world?
The truth is,
I have no idea what to say or do that I haven't already said and done a thousand times.
I guess many of us feel tired and powerless right now.
Maybe the only thing we can do is say no.
Say no for those who can no longer speak.
No for those whose voices are never heard.
It may sound like not nearly enough.
And it always seems better to come up with positive affirmations or solutions.
On the other hand,
If we look back in time,
During World War I and II,
People did say no.
At first,
They had no clue how to react when confronted with pure evil.
They must have felt the same way we do now.
And they still found the courage to stand up and say no,
Until it became clearer how they were going to organize themselves and fight back.
They were called the Resistance.
They started by saying no.
And they ended up winning the battle.
So,
Is it the lesson of the fire horse,
Or is it something else?
I have absolutely no idea.
All I am certain of is that we need to start somewhere.
So here we are.
Standing up one more very important time.
Together.
Saying No to child abuse.
No to misogyny.
No to racism.
No to LGBTQ phobia.
No to hatred.
No to violence.
No to dictatorship.
No to silence.
No to fear.
No That's where I am.
Standing here,
Saying no.
I don't know what comes next.
But I know I'm not alone in this stance.
And maybe,
Just maybe,
That's enough for today.
What do you think,
Friends?
Is it ridiculous?
Do you have other,
Maybe more productive ideas?
I'm stuck here for now.
But I choose to trust the firehorse to give us all the strength to fight for this world.
I choose to believe that nature knows better and that she will provide each and every one of us with a beautiful,
Harmonious,
And safe place to live.
At some point,
No matter what we have to go through to get there.
Namaste.
