Good morning.
Today I'll be guiding you through a meditation designed to welcome in a new day.
Let's begin by getting comfortable,
Either seated or lying down and just allowing your body to settle.
There's nothing that you need to do right now.
This is your time to simply be.
Let your hands rest gently,
Your shoulders soften and when you're ready gently closing your eyes.
Take a long slow breath in through your nose,
Part the lips and exhale softly out through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhale,
Fill up your belly,
Your lungs and exhale to release,
Soften,
Let go.
Welcome to a brand new day,
A fresh start and right now in this very moment there is nothing to figure out.
Right now is the space to come home to yourself.
Let's begin by simply noticing your breath,
Observing your inhale and your exhale,
Allowing your breath to be your anchor,
Holding you here in the present moment.
If your mind starts to wander perhaps into your to-do list for the day,
That's okay,
Just gently guide your awareness back to your breath.
Back to this moment,
The only one that matters right now.
With each inhale,
Invite in a sense of openness.
With each exhale,
Release anything you don't need to carry into your day.
Breathe in clarity,
Breathe out tension,
Breathe in energy,
Breathe out doubt.
Let yourself arrive in your body,
Feel your feet,
Your hands,
Your heartbeat.
Here you are in this present moment and this day is full of possibility.
I'd like to invite you now to set an intention for your day,
Ask yourself how do I want to feel today?
This isn't about what you have to do,
Rather how you want to show up throughout your day.
Allow the words to come to mind,
Perhaps it's calm,
Confident,
Present or connected.
Choose a word or a feeling and just hold it gently in your heart.
If it feels right,
Silently repeat it in your mind.
I choose presence,
I choose peace,
I choose joy.
Let the words ripple through you now,
As if your entire body is soaking in this energy,
Like morning light.
Remember,
You don't have to hustle to be worthy,
You don't have to prove a thing,
You are enough just as you are.
Let's take a few final breaths together.
As you inhale,
Welcome in this brand new day.
As you exhale,
Ground yourself in truth.
Inhale an open heart and exhale a soft mind.
When you're ready,
Gently begin to bring your awareness back into the room.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and maybe take a little stretch,
Reaching your arms up and over your head.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take one last moment just for you to feel grateful,
To feel grounded and to welcome in this brand new day.
