This is a short supportive talk for when you're feeling unsure of yourself and you just need a moment to feel a little bit steadier.
So find a comfortable position and just listen.
So if you're doubting yourself right now,
Questioning whether you're doing the right thing or feeling like you've got it wrong somehow,
Just take a little pause for a moment because self-doubt has a very good way of sounding convincing.
It tells you things like you should have everything figured out by now,
You should be feeling more certain,
You should definitely be further ahead than you actually are with this.
But most of the time self-doubt tends to show up when you're actually doing something new or stretching beyond what feels comfortable for you.
And your mind interprets that unfamiliar feeling as something that must be wrong.
So it starts scanning for problems,
Looking for evidence and replaying things,
Trying to work everything all out.
But feeling unsure does not mean that you're on the wrong path.
It often just means you're not on the old familiar one anymore.
And yes this can feel unsettling,
Especially if you're someone who likes to feel prepared,
Clear and in control.
But growth rarely feels neat and certain while you're in it.
In fact growth feels like constantly questioning,
Constantly adjusting and you're just figuring things out as you go along.
This doesn't mean that you're doing it badly,
It just means that you're doing something real.
Try not to make self-doubt mean more than it needs to.
It is often about your nervous system asking if this is safe,
If it's familiar.
Do we know how this is going to end?
And sometimes the very honest answer is no,
Not yet.
But not knowing yet does not mean never.
You're allowed to take this one step at a time.
You're allowed to figure things out gradually and you don't need total certainty to move forward.
All you need is just enough steadiness to take that next step.
And if things are feeling wobbly right now it doesn't mean that you've lost your way,
It just might mean that you're in the middle of something.
So see if you can loosen that pressure to have everything worked out because you don't need to have all the answers today.
Just keep going in a way that feels manageable for you and that is enough.
You're allowed to trust yourself a little more than you think,
Even if that trust feels quiet at the moment.
So if it feels okay,
I want you to just let your eyes close for a moment and take a slow deep breath in and a longer exhale out.
Let your shoulders drop,
Your jaw loosen and imagine yourself standing somewhere steady.
Not dramatic or symbolic,
Just somewhere that feels solid.
Maybe it's a quiet path or a garden or a room where you feel comfortable.
Just somewhere simple.
Notice what it feels like to stand there on that solid ground.
Nothing urgent,
Nothing chasing you and nothing demanding an answer right now.
Just space.
And in front of you is a path.
You don't need to see the whole path,
Just the next step and maybe you notice you don't actually need the entire plan right now.
Just that willingness to take that next small step forward.
See yourself taking one step.
Not perfectly,
Not confidently,
Just willingly.
And as you do,
Notice that nothing falls apart,
Nothing goes wrong.
You're still standing,
Still breathing and still very much capable.
The path doesn't need to be completely clear for you to move.
You only ever need the next step and then the next and then the next.
Just one step at a time.
You don't need certainty to keep moving.
You just need enough steadiness to stay present.
And if self-doubt shows up again,
You can imagine placing that gently behind you.
It doesn't have to disappear,
It just doesn't have to lead.
So you are still the one choosing the direction.
And from this place,
Just see if you can notice even a small sense of trust.
It doesn't have to be loud or dramatic,
Just that quiet sense that when you can handle,
Whatever comes next.
Because you can.
So take one more slow breath in.
Feel all that steadiness and calm.
And when you're ready,
Breathe out and bring your awareness back,
Knowing that you don't have to have everything figured out right now.
Just the next step and that is always enough.
