Welcome beautiful soul to this gassho meditation.

Begin now by finding a comfortable seated position.

Allow your spine to rise naturally.

Relaxed yet alert.

If it feels right gently close your eyes.

Bring your palms together in front of your heart.

Fingers pointing upward.

Thumbs lightly touching the center of the chest.

This is gassho,

A gesture of prayer,

Unity and presence.

Take a slow deep breath now in through your nose.

And exhale softly through the mouth.

Again breathing in calm.

And breathing out any tension you may have been holding.

Now let your breathing settle into a natural slow steady rhythm.

As your hands rest together at your heart,

Feel the warmth between your palms.

Feel the subtle energy awakening there,

Intelligent,

Compassionate.

Allow your awareness now to rest in this space where your middle fingers meet.

This is the meeting place of body,

Breath and spirit.

With each inhale,

Allow Reiki energy to gently flow in,

Entering through the crown of your head.

Moving softly down into your heart.

And with each exhale,

Allow that energy to expand.

Allow the energy to flow where it is needed,

Through your hands,

Through your palms,

Through your entire system and your aura.

There is no effort here.

No striving.

Simply allowing.

Being in flow.

And as the Reiki energy now flows through you,

If thoughts arise,

Memories,

Plans or distractions,

Acknowledge them kindly and let them drift away like clouds passing through the sky.

Return your attention to the breath,

To the warmth of your hands,

To the quiet presence of Reiki.

Feel yourself being held by the Reiki energy,

Supported and guided.

You do not need to direct it.

Simply be and allow the energy to flow.

Silently or in your mind,

You may wish to recite the Reiki principles,

Bringing all of your focus and your energy to these sacred words and their true meaning.

Just for today,

Do not worry.

Just for today,

Do not anger.

Just for today,

Be grateful.

Just for today,

Do your work diligently.

Just for today,

Be kind to all living things.

As you sit in stillness now,

Just notice any sensations.

Pulsing,

A warmth,

A sense of peace or simply quiet.

Whatever you experience in this moment is perfect.

Rest here now in the sacred simplicity of Gassho.

Breathing.

Receiving.

When you are ready,

Take one final nourishing breath in.

And slowly exhale.

Keeping your hands together at your heart,

Know that the Reiki energy continues to flow.

Continues to be with you for as long as is needed after this moment.

So when you are ready,

Thank the Reiki.

Gently bring your hands down into your lap.

Softly open your eyes.

And carry this sense of presence,

Connection and soulful calm into the rest of your day.
