If you have a candle,

You may light it now as a symbol of Bridget's eternal flame.

The flame that warms,

Soothes and restores.

Finding a comfortable position,

Either lying down or sitting.

Allowing the body to be fully supported by the earth beneath you.

Begin with three slow breaths.

Inhale.

Softening.

Exhale.

Releasing.

Again.

Inhale.

Softening.

Exhale.

Releasing.

Inhale.

Softening.

Exhale.

Releasing.

Imagine a small golden flame glowing gently at the centre of your chest.

This is Bridget's flame of rest and renewal.

With each breath now,

Let Bridget's flame grow a little warmer,

A little softer.

Let this flame begin to move through your body,

Not to energise but to soothe.

Forehead soft.

Jaw unclenched.

Shoulders melting.

Hands open.

Belly soft.

Legs heavy.

Feet grounded.

Let everything be exactly as it is.

You are safe to rest.

In your mind's eye,

Begin to see a sacred well appearing before you.

This is Bridget's healing well.

Ancient,

Still and full of blessing.

Gently walk towards it and kneel beside its edge.

Let yourself offer any heaviness,

Weariness or sorrow into the water.

It is received and transformed.

Imagine cupping your hands and taking a drink of this blessed water.

Soothing your throat and warming your heart.

Let it fill you with gentleness,

With peace,

With the deep knowing that you are enough,

Just as you are.

As we come to a close,

Feel now the soft presence of Bridget beside you.

Her mantle over your shoulders.

Her flame at your centre.

Her well at your feet.

You are held.

You are tended.

You are restored.

Slowly now,

Return to your breath.

No need to breathe in any special way.

Just noticing the breath that is here now and that is here always.

And when you are ready,

Wiggle fingers and toes and gently open your eyes or lift the gaze.

May you rise from this rest with ease.

Your soul watered and your spirit gently rekindled.
