Yoga nidra designed to help all the stress of the day dissolve away, leaving you calm, comforted, and ready for deep sleep. You’ll begin with slow, steady breathing — inhaling calmness and relaxation, and exhaling tension. With each breath, your body feels lighter, your mind grows quieter, and stress begins to dissolve into nothingness. From there, you’ll be guided into a serene visualization of nature: a warm sunny day, the soothing sound of a breeze in the trees or water flowing nearby, and the wide blue sky above you. Soon, a soft, fluffy white cloud drifts gently down and wraps around you like a cocoon — safe, warm, and comforting. The cloud carries you effortlessly across the sky, cradling you as the last traces of stress melt away. Thoughts grow faint and distant until they vanish completely.

Welcome to this sleep session.

This will help you relax and prepare for a blissful night's sleep.

So please make yourself comfortable.

And when you're ready,

All you have to do is focus on the sound of my voice.

And allow yourself to gently close your eyes as I guide you down.

And now that you're resting there so quietly with your eyes closed,

I'm going to help you relax even deeper.

I'm going to count very slowly,

Up to seven.

And in between each count,

I'll use the words drifting deeper and deeper.

And you'll find,

As this count progresses,

That you can drift deeper and deeper.

It doesn't matter if your mind wanders.

It doesn't matter even if you lose awareness altogether.

All that matters now is your own relaxation.

So just be comfortable.

Allow yourself the pleasure of sinking deeper and deeper into the comfortable cushions of your bed or your chair.

Just let yourself drift.

Drift into this relaxation as I count slowly up to seven,

Using the words drifting deeper and deeper.

In between each count,

One,

Drifting deeper and deeper.

Two,

Drifting deeper and deeper.

And already,

You can feel yourself settling down.

Becoming much more relaxed now.

You're feeling so very comfortable.

Beginning to feel peaceful too.

So just feel that relaxation.

Feel it working its way through your body.

Three,

Bringing every part of you to rest.

Settling you right down.

Three,

Drifting deeper.

Drifting deeper and deeper.

You can be aware of how slow and easy your breathing has become.

A little slower and a little deeper too.

And each deep breath that you take is making you more comfortable and much more relaxed.

Just feel your whole body getting heavier.

Comfortably heavier.

Almost as though you're sinking down.

Down,

Just sinking down into sheer comfort.

As each breath you take relaxes you more and more.

Four,

Drifting deeper and deeper.

Six,

Drifting deeper and deeper.

You're feeling more comfortable,

More relaxed.

And so glad to be drifting deeper and deeper.

Heavy,

Tired.

Drifting deeper and deeper.

And relaxed.

Beautifully relaxed.

Every part of your body is coming to rest now.

Feeling tired.

Drifting deeper and deeper.

Heavy,

Relaxed.

Drifting deeper and deeper.

Heavy and relaxed.

Seven,

Drifting deeper and deeper.

Into that warm and comfortable state of just letting go completely.

Allowing the subconscious mind to take on more and more of that responsibility.

For guiding your awareness down as you drift with your own thoughts.

Just listening to the sound of my voice.

And each word that I speak now allows you to continue to drift.

Deeper and deeper into that relaxation.

Nothing bothers you.

Nothing disturbs you at all.

As you concentrate only on my voice.

Even the loudest of noises will not bother you.

As you listen to my voice.

Concentrating only on the sound of my voice.

With each word,

Each sound relaxing you even deeper than before.

And this is a special time for you.

A time to put aside all your worldly thoughts of material problems.

A time when you really can become aware of that inner part of you.

A time when no one wants anything.

No one needs anything.

This is your time.

A wonderful relaxation of both body and mind.

Feeling safe,

Secure and tranquil.

And now as I slowly count down from 5 to 1.

Just let yourself drift deeper and deeper down.

More and more into that relaxation.

Drifting down and deeper still.

Rest and relax.

3.

Sleep.

Drifting deeper and deeper into deep relaxing sleep.

This was lovely- I was slightly surprised by how effortlessly this meditation helped me drift off! The guidance starts out soothing and simple, giving my mind something calm to follow instead of all the noise from the day. Within a few minutes, I can feel my body settling and my thoughts slowing down, almost as if someone has turned down the volume in my head. I don’t think I even made it to the end before falling asleep —exactly what I’ve been looking for
