A lot of women receive an ADHD or autism diagnosis in their forties or fifties. Some never receive one formally but start recognising themselves in what they read. Either way, there is usually a period of looking back at your life and seeing it differently. That process often surfaces trauma. Not because neurodivergence causes trauma, but because growing up without the right support, masking constantly, being misread, and feeling like you are always getting it slightly wrong, leaves a mark. This talk looks at how neurodivergence and trauma overlap, how each one can make the other harder to see clearly, and what changes when you start understanding both at the same time. This is for women who are somewhere in that process of making sense of things.
