Welcome to this self-love meditation by Gabriella Domori.
So this meditation is about self-soothing.
And it's really an opportunity to completely let go of the mind.
And its thoughts and the stress.
And all of the parts of you that do.
And sing.
And remember.
And execute all of the time.
Just allowing and giving yourself permission to completely come out of the mind for the next little while.
We'll come back to the mind later tomorrow,
But for now coming into a place of being as still.
And as centered as you possibly can be.
Starting by coming to the center of the body.
Becoming aware of your beautiful breath.
A beautiful anchoring breath.
Lengthening and exaggerating your breath as much as you can just for the next few moments.
Allowing yourself to receive the benefits of those long inhalations.
Long exhalations.
And as we continue to do this,
Encouraging each of your muscles,
Your joints,
Your bones.
Your fascia to just completely relax.
Let the shoulders drop.
The muscles on your face relax Just melting into this meditation using our breath to bring in this warm and centered energy and moving it throughout the whole body.
Using the breath to send this sensation to every limb.
Every fingertip.
Every toe.
Letting your head and neck become heavy and soft.
Imagine sending this grounded energy throughout every strand of your hair.
Coming to the back of your body now and relaxing your shoulders.
Relaxing and dropping the arms and making them as heavy as they can be.
Unwinding and relaxing each part of your spine And a few moments here sending the breath through your spine creating space between each vertebrae.
You working your way down to the lower part of the spine,
Back of the hips.
Just feeling your body become like a heavy anchor into the chair.
And there will be noise around you.
There will be thoughts in your mind but continue to use your breath as a safe place as your center.
As your anchor to your body and to this moment in time.
Stay with the breath.
Almost like you're a child climbing into a cubby house in your backyard.
Or entering a safe place in your home.
A quiet place.
It's like the sensation of pulling the covers over your head and resting.
Finding a park bench when there's no one else around.
Or having the beach all to yourself.
Continuing to make sure your breath is long and smooth.
And I'd like you now to bring your awareness to your heart space in the center of your chest now.
And you may like to either put your hands over your heart or imagine putting your hands here.
Whatever helps you to tune in to the heart space in the center of the body.
Even if it feels difficult to rest your awareness here,
Just do your best.
As we take our time to come home.
Come back home to the heart space.
You may not have been here in a while.
It may be unfamiliar.
The heart space may feel forgotten.
Or strange.
Or cold or lost.
But you'll notice as you rest your awareness here.
Of your ability to tap in.
To a sensation of love and contentment.
For ourselves and others.
And the simple joy of this moment we are in.
A heart welcomes you and is happy you've come back.
The heart space is an endless and infinite source of nourishment and love and care.
The heart space is a never-ending source of love and warmth for ourselves that we can come back to at any time.
We're going to stay here for a few moments as if it's somewhere we stop to refuel our entire body,
Our spirit.
Refueling and replenishing our body and our mind and our spirit.
From this endless place of love and warmth.
You if you notice any negative thoughts or any resistance that is lingering around you.
Use your exhalation to do your best to release any of this that is not allowing you to fully be in the heart space.
Any doubt or worry that you are not doing it right or can't do it properly.
Any thoughts that are not loving for yourself.
Use your exhalation to do your best to breathe these out of your body.
Using the exhalation to let go of any last worry or fear or resistance.
Any worry that you can't fully relax.
You won't be able to fully relax.
Any excuse,
Any lie.
Let all the worries come out of your body system through your exhalation.
Come back to that warm and loving experience of being in the heart space.
Settling even more into this relaxed heart-centered place within our body.
And I'm going to invite you now to imagine yourself in front of a mirror.
Either standing or sitting in front of a big mirror.
Or holding something small up towards your face.
But either way,
We are not focusing on your full body.
I'd like you to simply look deep into your own eyes looking back at you.
Take a moment to re-familiarize yourself with the detail.
Of your beautiful and unique eyes that only you have.
Remembering the best you can their shape.
Patterns,
Colors,
Flex.
Imperfections.
And as you gaze out to yourself,
I want you to look very deeply and very lovingly at yourself.
We are not looking with a critical eye,
A discerning eye.
An angry expression or a frustrated expression.
Looking at yourself the way you would look at someone you love very deeply and completely.
Looking at yourself this way.
And if it's difficult to think of your face or body in a mirror,
Just zone in on your eyes.
That's all we need to focus on today.
Looking into these eyes that you've had since you were a joyful and carefree child.
These same eyes you've had since the day you were born and first saw this world.
The eyes that,
As a child,
Saw everything with curiosity.
Almost everything seemed new and adventurous to you.
You had so many questions about the world and the people coming and going in your life.
The eyes that notice the tiniest of things.
Small leaves on the ground.
Small animals.
Little items that you didn't know what they were but were curious about.
Endless things to ask questions about and become familiar with.
And moving now to look into your eyes now as an adult.
The adult you are on this day.
The adult you've become so many years later.
And without judgment.
Without fear or criticism,
Simply and mindfully just noticing your eyes now as an adult.
Perhaps you will see happiness.
Or pain.
Perhaps you will see sadness.
Or grief.
Joy,
Or excitement.
Fear or stress.
Perhaps in this moment,
You'll simply see contentment and stillness.
Doesn't matter what you see,
Just look lovingly into your own eyes and notice without judgment and without attaching a story to what you see.
Just simply let it be there.
Be the truth of this moment.
And as you keep looking into your own eyes,
Remember your heart space too.
Keep looking in your own eyes but remembering or imagining the sensation of your hands over your heart.
And while you continue to look at yourself.
Using your breath once again to move this heart centered energy.
The sensation of love.
From your heart.
Throughout your whole body and face.
And as we do this,
This time looking at yourself,
We're doing it purposefully.
Sending this love to yourself.
To the self that you see reflected in the mirror.
Sending this loving energy to the adult self you see,
Whether you look sad or stressed or worried.
Send this loving heart-centered energy towards yourself.
As we do this.
Saying to yourself,
I love you.
I love you.
I've got you.
And I'm here for you.
As you reassure and talk to yourself in a loving and compassionate way.
Even if you think you don't deserve it or it's the first time you've ever done something like this.
Look at yourself in the eyes.
Send that heart.
Warm energy throughout your body.
Saying to yourself I love you.
I've got you.
I'm here for you.
Resisting any urge to turn on yourself,
To turn away from yourself.
Resisting any urge to abandon yourself.
Or deny yourself this loving energy.
Knowing that you deserve it.
Knowing that you need it.
Come back to the heart space and continue visualizing this love pouring out throughout your whole body.
Touching every cell of your body.
Allowing those joyful feelings to move throughout your body.
Softening more and more as you unfold into this loving experience with yourself.
Reminding yourself that I love you.
I'm here for you.
I won't abandon you in these difficult times.
I won't abandon you throughout this stress.
I will not turn my back on you.
No matter how hard things get with us.
Looking at yourself and promising yourself,
I will not abandon you.
I will not turn my back on you.
Because I love you.
I love this face.
I love this life.
I even love the challenges that are thrown to me.
The challenges that are offered to me in this life.
I love and I'm grateful for these challenges,
These opportunities.
I'm grateful for these gifts and the privileges that have come into my life.
Reminding yourself that you will love yourself enough to do your best.
To give yourself the best chance of success,
You will do your best.
To hold yourself as best you can through these difficult times.
Continuing to send this sensation throughout your body.
Making sure This feeling is moving through your body from the top of your head down to your toes.
Continue to do the best you can and exaggerate and intensify these feelings throughout the body.
Knowing that the heart centered energy is never ending and infinite.
Draw more and more from the heart space,
Allowing this to make you feel stronger within yourself.
Welcome and allow this energy to show up in your life more often and more fully.
Welcome and encourage this hot energy to come into your life.
Even more during challenging and stressful times.
Allow this heart energy to relax and nourish and love you.
More than you think you're capable of doing and receiving.
Feel this feeling for as much as you can in these last moments of the meditation.
Drawing from your heart as much as you possibly can.
Nourishing the full body with your breath and your heart energy.
Taking a little more for the stressful times ahead and the current challenges in your life.
And as we start to close the meditation,
We're going to set an intention or a well-wish to yourself,
Perhaps as you start to move away from the mirror.
And this is wishing something for yourself that you need more of in your life.
Something that would be helpful for you,
Something that would be supportive and encouraging to your life.
Asking for this to come into your life in abundance.
Remember you can come back to this place in the heart at any time.
Every day.
Every moment.
That you can look yourself in your eyes and remind yourself that you love yourself,
You support yourself,
You will never abandon yourself.
You may like to commit to not allowing this heart energy to become so unfamiliar and so forgotten ever again.
But to allow the heart energy to be with you in each moment of each day.
Allow your awareness now of your breath and your heart space to dissipate.
And simply enjoy a few moments of just being here fully in this moment.
Become aware of your full body once again.
Where you are in this room.
Where you are in this world,
In this moment.
You remembering your hands and your feet and your face.
Perhaps taking a moment to notice how you felt today before this meditation and if there's been any changes at all to how you feel now.
And when you're ready.
Taking your time very slowly and very gently.
Coming back to this room.
In this moment.
You
