Welcome,
Find a comfortable seat,
Whatever that means to you today,
Whether it's on your mat,
On a chair or anywhere where you can find a moment for yourself of being undisturbed.
Once seated,
Find a space where your spine feels long without being rigid.
Soften through your shoulders,
The muscles of your jaw,
Soften the skin around your eyes.
Gently begin to soften down your eyes until they eventually close and allow yourself to arrive fully here,
In this moment.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale all the air out.
Let your breathing find its own rhythm now,
Steady and soft,
Like the waves gently meeting the shore.
Feel the air moving through you,
The subtle sensations in your nostrils,
The gentle movements of your body.
Feeling into your body,
Notice where it touches the surface beneath you,
Maybe it's your feet,
Your legs,
Your back.
Feel how the earth holds you,
Without question,
Without effort,
Steady and strong,
Offering its quiet support.
As you breathe,
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet or from the base of your spine,
Reaching deep into the earth.
Feel yourself connected to her grounding energy,
Connected to something ancient,
Something vast,
A grounding force that has held countless lives before you.
Now picture yourself standing rooted beside a river,
Sunlight reflecting on the crystal clear water,
A soft breeze gently touching your skin.
The water flows steadily,
Unhurried,
Carrying with it the wisdom of the mountains,
Of the rain,
Of the earth.
Notice how the river doesn't cling to the stones it meets,
It doesn't resist the twists and turns,
It simply flows trusting the path that unfolds.
As you stand there,
Feel the energy of this river,
The calm confidence in its journey,
The river as life itself,
Reminding you that every obstacle,
Every bend,
Every pause is part of the greater flow.
Now imagine holding a small stone in your hand.
This stone represents anything you've been carrying,
Worries,
Fears or the weight of uncertainty.
Feel its texture,
Its weight,
Acknowledge it for a moment without judgement,
Allowing a space of compassion for anything that might arise.
When you're ready,
Step closer to the river,
Hold the stone in your palm and whisper to it,
I release you,
I trust the flow of life.
And when you feel ready,
Release the stone into the water,
Watch as the current takes it away,
Letting it become part of the river's story.
Feel the lightness in your hand,
Notice how your body feels,
How your heart feels now that you've let it go.
In this space of release,
Let these words ripple through you,
I am held by life,
I am supported in ways I cannot always see,
I trust the unfolding of my path.
Repeat them silently or aloud,
Letting each word softly settle into your being.
I am held by life,
I am supported in ways I cannot always see,
I trust the unfolding of my path.
Gently begin to bring your awareness back to your breath,
Back into your body,
Back into the space you are in.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath,
The rhythm of life moving through you.
Without rush,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Maybe allowing your body to gently sway,
Bringing soft movement back into your body.
Placing your hand onto your heart if you feel drawn and connect to knowing that this sense of calm,
Of grounding and of trust is always to be found within you.
Take a deep inhale through the nose and a soft,
Slow exhale.
Gently,
In your own time,
Begin to blink your eyes open,
Letting the outside world wash back in.
Taking a moment to notice how you feel,
Notice any sensations in your body,
In your heart.
Thank yourself for showing up for this practice,
To bring this groundedness and this trust with you into your day.
Sending love and light.
