Welcome to this meditation to help you connect with the ocean of joy.

As you settle in a comfortable position,

Allow your body to take up as much space as it needs.

Let your feet flop open and your arms rest away from your sides with your palms facing the sky.

If it feels natural,

Bring your hands into Hansa mudra by gently touching the tips of your index,

Middle and ring fingers to your thumb,

Leaving the pinky extended.

Close your eyes and let the weight of your body be completely held by the earth beneath you.

Now it's time to begin the work of the spirit.

Take a deep,

Slow breath through your nose,

Feeling your belly raise like a soft wave.

As you exhale through your mouth,

Let out a quiet sigh,

Releasing any lingering heat or effort from your day.

With each breath,

Feel the floor beneath you becoming softer,

More supportive.

Invite a tiny micro smile to the corners of your mouth,

Just enough to feel a subtle lift in your cheeks.

This is the seed of joy.

Now bring your awareness to your feet.

Imagine one golden light,

The color of the summer sunset,

Beginning to swirl around your toes and the sole of your feet.

As this light touches you,

Any remaining tension dissolves.

This golden light moves up through your ankles,

Your calves and your knees.

It feels like warm honey,

Soothing your muscles and bringing a sense of sweetness to your legs.

Feel your thighs become heavy and relaxed.

The light continues to flow into your hips and your mass.

As the golden light fills your belly and your lower back,

Imagine it vibrating with the silent sound of the Disha.

The center of your being is becoming a vessel for liquid joy.

Let this warmth travel up your spine,

Rib by rib,

Until it reaches your heart.

Your chest feels light,

Expansive and free.

Cold flows down to your arms,

Through your elbows and into the palms of your hands,

Tingling in your fingertips.

It moves up into your neck,

Softening your throat and finally into your face.

Feel your chokers slack,

Let your tongue fall away from the roof of your mouth.

Your forehead becomes smooth,

Like the surface of a steel lake.

Your entire body is now glowing.

Feel from the head to toes with this radiant,

Golden energy.

You are no longer a body of muscle and bone.

You are a body of light.

Now imagine that the floor beneath you begins to dissolve and you find yourself floating on a vast,

Infinite ocean of nectar.

This ocean is made of pure liquid leaves.

The water is the perfect temperature,

Supporting you completely so that you don't have to use a single muscle to stay afloat.

The surface of the ocean is shimmering with millions of tiny golden sparkles,

Reflecting the sun that never sets.

As you drift on this ocean,

Feel the nectar soaking into your skin.

It is as if every pore of your body is drinking in joy.

There is no separation between you and this sea of blue.

You are the ocean and the ocean is you.

In this space of total weightlessness,

Begin to repeat the mantra Anandoham silently in your mind.

I am bliss.

Anandoham I am bliss.

Let the words sink with a gentle raising and falling of your chest.

As you float here,

Notice that this joy is not something you had to earn or find.

It is the very fabric of your existence.

It is the silence between your thoughts.

It is the warmth in your heart.

Even when life is loud or difficult,

This ocean of nectar is always here,

Just beneath the surface,

Waiting for you to return.

Feel the deep relief of knowing that you are held,

You are loved and you are made of joy.

Slowly,

Very gently,

Begin to bring your awareness back to the physical room.

Feel the texture of the mat beneath your skin and the weight of your clothing.

The ocean of nectar begins to settle deep into your heart,

Becoming a reservoir that you will carry with you as you leave this practice.

Start to wrinkle your fingers and toes,

Keeping the movements smooth and soft.

Take a deep,

Refreshing breath.

As you are smelling the first flowers of spring,

Gently roll into your right side,

Into a fetal position,

Resting your head on your arms.

Take one final moment here to thank yourself for cultivating this inner light.

When you are ready,

Press yourself up to the comfortable seated position.

Keep your eyes closed and your gaze soft.

Bring your hands to your heart and carry this micro smile and the vibration of Anandorama into the rest of your day,

Knowing that you are the light you have been seeking.
