Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position.

Let your body find support in a chair,

On the floor,

Wherever you're resting.

Feel the weight of yourself being held,

Fully supported.

Allow your eyes to close if you feel safe to do so,

And begin to notice your breath.

Not changing it,

Just noticing the rise and fall,

The inhale,

The exhale,

Your own gentle rhythm.

With each exhale,

Imagine releasing anything that you've been carrying today.

To-do lists,

Perhaps tension in your shoulders or another part of your body,

Maybe tightness in your jaw.

Just let it go,

And then bring your awareness to the crown of your head,

And just let that awareness drift down,

Softening your forehead,

Your cheeks,

And clenching your jaw.

Softening your neck,

Your shoulders as they move down and away from your ears,

Down your arms and hands,

Your chest,

Your back.

Allowing your abdomen to soften,

Your bones heavy,

Supported by the earth.

Take your awareness all the way down to your pelvis,

To your legs,

All the way down to your toes,

And as it does so,

It's softening,

Releasing,

Relaxing.

Your body feels heavy and soft,

Anchored,

Held.

As you breathe here,

Let your exhales grow longer.

With every breath,

You're moving further away from the demands of your day and closer to the center of yourself.

Now,

In your mind's eye,

See yourself standing at the edge of a snow-filled field.

Frost sparkles across the ground.

The air is cold,

But still,

And you're wrapped in a thick,

Warm,

Cozy cloak.

The warm hood rests lightly on your shoulders.

You can feel the weight of it and the way it keeps you cozy.

Notice your breath in the crisp air.

Hear the soft crunch of your boots on the snow with each step you take forward.

Ahead of you,

A faint path winds towards a distant glow of sunrise on the horizon.

As you walk towards the glow,

The snow begins to thin.

Beneath your feet,

Tiny shoots of green push up from the earth.

The air softens,

Carrying the scent of new grass and spring flowers.

You begin to feel a gentle warm on your skin as the sun rises,

Spilling golden light across the field.

You walk onwards towards the sunrise until the snow is completely gone.

You've reached a lush,

Green meadow,

Alive with the sound of running water and birdsong.

This is Brigid's Grove.

As you step into the grove,

You see her ahead of you.

Brigid,

The goddess.

She stands near a small forge.

Its coals are glowing,

Sending up curls of fragrant smoke.

Beside her,

A well bubbles softly.

It's water clear and alive with light.

Just take it in.

Take in this scene.

Brigid turns towards you with a warm,

Steady gaze.

She's wearing a green cloak that shifts like sunlight through leaves.

Her red hair catches the light and her hand,

Strong and gentle,

Rests on her heart.

She smiles at you with a knowing of one who has seen countless beginnings and knows the courage it takes to step into yours.

She calls you closer.

Brigid beckons you towards the forge.

You feel its heat,

Comforting,

Energizing.

She invites you to place your hands near the flame,

Not too close,

But close enough to feel its warmth infusing your palms.

Enjoy the warmth and creativity of Brigid's forge.

Next,

She guides you to the well.

You kneel and dip your fingers into the cool water,

Touching them to your forehead,

Your heart,

Your throat,

Your belly.

You feel the vibrant clarity of the water washing through you.

Brigid stands with you,

Her presence both strong and tender.

When you are finished at the well,

You turn towards her and she holds out her hands and offers you a gift,

An object or symbol to carry forward on your path.

Let the gift appear.

Trust whatever comes through now as she puts the gift into your hands.

She may also speak to you,

Maybe in words or perhaps the message is a feeling,

A knowing that settles deep into your bones.

You stay here with the goddess for a few moments,

Receiving the gifts and wisdom that is meant just for you.

When you feel ready,

Brigid places her hand lightly over your heart.

You feel the warmth of her blessing ripple through every part of you,

Anchoring in your chest like a small steady flame.

She steps back and you know that you can return to her in this grove at any time.

She will always be here to welcome you.

You thank the goddess in whatever way feels right.

Then as you turn to leave,

You notice your cloak is lighter,

Infused with the scent of herbs and the glow of the forge.

In your hand you carry her gift,

In your heart her blessing and in your mind the memory of this place remains within you.

You make your way back along the path.

The grove fades behind you.

The field reappears and the snow crunching beneath your feet,

A reminder of cycles and renewal.

You make your way back,

Back,

Back,

Feeling yourself return fully to your body now,

To your room,

To the here and now.

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes,

Take a deep breath,

Exhale and when you are ready,

Open your eyes.
