Welcome back to day five.
Today's focus is gratitude for the challenges that have been transformed.
Some of our greatest strengths are born in the moments that we once believed might break us.
We don't have to celebrate the hardship itself,
But we can honor the resilience that it awakened,
The way it stretched our hearts a little bit more wide.
It clarified what truly matters and carved out some quiet space inside us for compassion to take root.
Sometimes those challenges,
Or maybe even we want to call them crisis,
Do really help us re-evaluate and re-prioritize.
Gratitude becomes kind of an alchemy,
Helping us to recognize how even the most difficult seasons have shaped our courage and softened us towards our own humanity and the humanity of others.
As you feel your breath rise through your spine,
Let it call to mind the obstacles you've moved through and the countless times you've steadied your feet and chosen to rise again.
Every inhale is a testament to your endurance,
And every exhale a release into recognition.
You are here.
You are rising still.
And that rise is its own kind of grace.
As we prepare to meditate together,
Let's take a moment to consider our centering thought.
With every challenge,
A deeper strength is awakened in me.
With every challenge,
A deeper strength is awakened in me.
This really honors resilience without glorifying the struggle.
So close your eyes softly,
And rest your hands gently on your knees,
Palms up in a gesture of openness and receiving,
Or palms down if grounding feels right for you today.
Now gently introduce today's mantra.
I rise.
I rise.
Whenever you feel yourself distracted by thoughts,
Noises,
Feelings,
Or anything in your environment,
Simply gently invite your focus back to the mantra,
To your breath,
And to the present moment.
Please continue your meditation.
I'll mind the time,
Starting and ending with a soft bell.
I rise.
I rise.
It's time to release the mantra.
Sit restfully for a few moments,
And when you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
Carry our centering thought with you throughout your day.
With every challenge,
A deeper strength is awakening in me.
May you move through your day rooted in grace,
Growing toward what's calling you next.
Thank you so much for your practice.
Namaste.
