A Sound Body: Mantra Puruśa Practice
Aum Aīm Hrīm Śrīm Klīm Glaum + Sanskrit sound Mantra Puruśa (pronounced "poo-roo-shaa") is an ancient technique of bringing mantras to the marma (or acupressure) points in the body. We rotate our awareness through the body and touch or bring our attention to the area mentioned. Then we intentionally bring the bījā mantra to that area. The benefit of this practice is to awaken a "sound" body, a healthy body, and even begin a deeper mantra practice. In this practice, we add the Sanskrit alphabet syllable that corresponds to the area of the body. This is a great practice to settle in for sleep or prepare yourself for your self awareness practice like yoga, qi gong, or meditation. Enjoy!
