Start by finding a comfortable seated position,
Either on the floor or in a chair.
Relax your shoulders and let your spine gently straighten,
As if a string is pulling the crown of your head upward.
Gently close your eyes and bring your attention inward.
Take a few deep,
Centering breaths.
As you inhale,
Feel the air flowing into your nose and down into your belly.
Pause briefly at the top of the inhalation.
Then slowly exhale through your mouth,
Letting go of any tension or worries.
Repeat this a few more times.
Allowing your body to settle and your mind to become calm and focused.
Bring to mind all the things,
Both big and small,
That you are truly grateful for in your life.
Perhaps it's the nourishing meal you had yesterday.
The loved one who checked in on you.
Or simply the gift of waking up this morning.
Silently acknowledge each item on your gratitude list,
Feeling the warmth and appreciation spreading through your body.
Now,
Visualize gratitude as a glowing,
Radiant light emanating from your heart center.
This luminous energy is like a beacon,
Attracting an abundance of blessings,
Opportunities and support from the universe.
Breathe deeply into this heart-centered gratitude,
Allowing it to grow brighter and more expansive with each inhalation.
As you continue breathing,
Bring your attention to your physical body.
Sense any areas of heaviness,
Tension or discomfort.
Imagine the light of gratitude pouring into these places,
Infusing them with warmth,
Softness and ease.
Feel your body becoming more relaxed,
Open and receptive.
From this grounded grateful state,
Set an intention for how you want to embody and express your appreciation throughout the day.
Maybe it's lending a helping hand to a neighbor,
Savoring the beauty of nature,
Or simply smiling more freely.
Affirm to yourself,
I am grateful and this gratitude attracts an abundance of blessings to me.
