Hi Resilient Sunshine!
Sometimes life can get too much,
Especially in times like these.
The external world is so chaotic and no matter what we try,
Even lying to ourselves,
We still are feeling the repercussion of whatever is happening on the outside.
Bang on our nervous system.
And that's normal.
You may notice certain guilt or some lingering feelings within your body that are translated in a different language.
Lurking silently,
Perhaps around your chakra points,
Creating tension in familiar parts where you usually store your stress and even perhaps noticing new areas of tension.
Take some time to arrive in this space.
If you prefer to sit or lay down,
Do so.
If you rather stand or go for a mindful walk,
You're very welcome to do whatever feels the most comfortable to you.
Allow yourself to take a couple of deep breaths though,
To arrive in whatever state you're finding yourself in,
Right here,
Right now.
Breathing in the presence.
And breathing out.
Breathing in at your own rhythm.
And breathing out.
Just want to give you some time and space here so you can show up for yourself with permission.
Allowing yourself the room to be able to actually for once not have to take any action and just be able to be and cater for your needs.
If you have felt restless,
Allow a part of your body to lift gently and bring it back down.
And as you breathe in,
Allow your body to be in the movement and as you breathe out,
Allow it to get back to its resting space.
And if you're walking just time your breath with each step.
This is not you guiding yourself towards action.
This is giving yourself space,
Giving you and your body the space to express itself,
To expand itself.
In whatever forms that feels giving right now.
Continue to breathe,
Inviting more and more movement inside your stillness.
Perhaps it's gentle circles of your arms above your head.
Perhaps you're playing with your steps.
Perhaps the knees are in movement,
Opening up and closing down.
Perhaps your back is arching.
Just allow whatever is coming out.
Allow it to be.
Allow yourself to be.
We're not here to shake anything off.
We're not here for any shoulds.
We're not here to carry any more guilt into your day or to add any additional thinking to an already overwhelmed mind.
But what we can do and what we're doing is just cultivating a little bit of presence.
And just like this,
You've given yourself eight minutes for being.
Eight minutes of calm in the chaos of life.
Eight minutes of looking inwards.
Giving yourself a little bit more space,
Love and kindness.
So you can take a final deep breath in and gently release it out.
And carry on with your day.
