Welcome to this moment of calm.
Today,
I'll share with you a simple yet timeless fable,
The Tale of River and Sky.
It's a story about two friends,
Each so different,
Who discover that strength and softness are not opposites,
But partners.
As you listen,
Notice where you might be more like the river,
Driven,
Focused,
Always moving,
Or,
More like the sky,
Open,
Dreaming,
And still.
And perhaps you'll find the balance you've been seeking.
Close your eyes,
If it's safe to do so,
Take a deep breath,
Inhale,
Exhale,
And let it settle in,
For The Tale of River and Sky,
A fable about balance.
Once upon a time,
In a land full of color and wonder,
There lived two very different friends,
River and Sky.
River was strong and steady,
He liked to know where he was going and how to get there.
He built bridges,
Carved paths through mountains,
And helped people travel from one place to another.
He was focused,
Fast,
And full of direction.
Sky,
On the other hand,
Was soft and flowing.
She changed colors with her feelings,
Bright blue when she was happy,
Cloudy when she was deep in thought,
And full of stars when she dreamed big dreams.
She floated above,
Quiet and thoughtful,
And whispered ideas to the wind.
River liked to move,
Sky liked to be still.
River loved plans,
Sky loved possibilities.
Sometimes River would say,
Come down here Sky,
There's work to be done.
And Sky would laugh,
Come up here River,
There's beauty to be seen.
They didn't always understand each other,
But deep down,
They knew something special,
They needed each other.
One day,
The land began to dry up,
The trees drooped,
The flowers closed,
And even the animals grew quiet.
River rushed faster and faster,
Trying to fix everything.
He built canals and ditches,
Working day and night,
But the more he worked,
The more tired he became,
And the land still looked sad.
Sky tried too.
She danced through the clouds,
Hoping to bring rain or ideas or dreams to help.
But without River's strong banks,
The clouds scattered,
And her magic drifted away.
That's when they realized,
River without Sky was just water with no wonder.
Sky without River was just wind with no place to land.
So,
They made a promise.
River said,
I will slow down and listen to your dreams.
Sky said,
I will focus my magic and help you grow the land.
Together,
They brought the rain.
The trees perked up,
The flowers opened their petals,
The animals danced again.
In the middle of it all,
The river flowed gently beneath the glowing sky,
Each one guiding,
Each one giving.
From that day on,
River and Sky worked together,
Not as opposites,
But as a team.
Because true magic doesn't come from being the strongest or the softest.
It comes from balance.
And if you ever feel lost or unsure of what to do next,
Just close your eyes and ask,
Do I need to move like the river or pause like the sky?
The answer will always come.
Let your breath deepen.
Start to awaken your senses and come back to your body,
Come back to the room.
The story of River and Sky remind us that we don't have to choose between doing and being.
Between the steady path and the open horizon.
We both have a valuable place in our lives,
And both have wisdom to offer and to learn from.
So as you go forward,
May you carry this balance with you.
Moving and doing when the moment calls.
Resting and being when your spirit needs.
Trusting that harmony and balance is always within reach.
Thank you so much for listening with me today.
I'll see you again soon.
