Be Still is a spoken meditation and contemplative prayer, part of the album Bálsamo. A gentle invitation to rest in the midst of inner and outer turbulence. This piece speaks directly to the heart when the ground feels unstable, when vision darkens, and when the body grows weary. It guides the listener inward—into the quiet center where stillness is not the absence of movement, but the presence of the One breathing through all things. Through remembrance of the ineffable—beyond gender, form, or name—Be Still offers reassurance: nothing is outside the eternal Presence, and nothing unfolds apart from it. An offering for moments of overwhelm, surrender, and deep trust, where the heart softens, the breath returns home, and stillness reveals itself as peace, delight, and truth. Be still,

My heart,

Be still.

When the wind blows in all directions,

And the foundation below you shakes and rattles,

Be still,

My heart,

Be still.

When darkness blankets your gaze,

And your hands lie weary,

Tired,

And your feet no longer follow,

Be still,

My heart,

Be still.

Deep inside the dark hides the treasure,

Your treasure,

The golden nugget,

Your nugget,

The story,

Your story,

Your resting breath.

Look now for the face behind your own,

The sight looking through your eyes,

And be still,

My heart,

Be still.

All is the unnameable,

Ineffable,

Transcendent One.

He knows,

She knows,

It knows.

Your ache,

My longing,

He experiences it,

She suffers it,

As you and me,

As us.

Yet he is the all-pervading peace,

The vast,

The quiet,

She the delight,

The ecstasy,

And the sword.

And together,

It is everything,

Everything around me,

Everything within you,

The absolute,

Without beginning or end,

Meeting forever in the eternal present,

Our eternal presence,

Conceiving the miraculous,

The miraculous through us.

So,

Be still,

My heart,

Be still.

For you are a pulsation of the One in flesh.

Remember,

Nothing,

Nothing is ever done without him.

She is the crown of your days and my nights.

It simply is.

It simply is.
