We begin this meditation with the intention of meeting ourselves as the sacred within the heart.
Now do what you need to do to feel comfortable and at ease and when you're ready allow your eyes to close.
Allow the soft dark of your inner gaze to spread throughout all of your body as you welcome a peaceful sensation throughout.
The soft soothing dark of your inner gaze spreading now down to your whole body,
From your head to your toes,
From skin to bones.
In this quiet dark space,
Feel a sense of peacefulness,
A sense of silence,
A sense of stillness,
And a sense of spaciousness.
Allow yourself to rest there,
To rest your thoughts,
And to allow your breath to gently gently.
Take you deep with each inhale and with each exhale,
And place your attention on your heart area,
The area around your physical heart,
And take notice of what you see or feel there.
Perhaps there's a color,
Or even a sound,
Or even a taste.
Spend a few moments exploring the sensations around your heart center.
Allow yourself to be receptive to the movements there,
To the imagery that might come up as you place your awareness and explore this further.
See if you can notice now the deep end,
Deeply inside your heart center,
A point of light,
Like a warm glow within the heart center.
Follow that single point of light.
See how it looks like.
Feel what it feels like.
Hear what it sounds like.
See if it moves,
Or if it remains still,
If it pulsates,
If it's small,
Or if it widens.
Do you feel drawn to it?
What emotions or feelings arise?
And now gently,
And if it feels good for you,
Allow yourself to step into this light and see what happens as you do so.
What do you experience?
How does it feel to be in there,
Surrounded by this light?
Invite the sense of joy to your experience,
As well as a vast sense of peace containing the joy.
See if you can feel,
Sense,
Perceive what contains this vast sense of peace that also contains the joy.
Feel there.
What is there,
Containing all of these magnificent expressions?
And now,
Whatever you find in this spaciousness,
Bring it to your heart center.
Your heart now a part of this light,
Which is part of the joy,
And which is part of the peace.
Spread this feeling throughout your body,
Allowing your body to recognize and rest easy in this experience,
Knowing that you hold this experience inside of yourself,
Inside of your body,
Inside of yourselves,
Inside of your mind,
Inside of your heart.
And you can go there using your inner gaze and your inner senses,
And you may bring it forward,
Expressing it in your movements,
In your everyday activities.
You may call this experience the sacred,
Or love,
Or consciousness.
However you decide to call it,
Know that it is very accessible.
It is within you,
And you can return to it,
Or experience it,
Anytime that you wish.
Whenever you're ready,
You can open your eyes and greet the space around you with a smile.
