Close your eyes.

Imagine yourself inside the soft cushioning walls of your mother's uterus,

Intimate,

Safe.

Imagine your small,

Tender body swimming in an amniotic fluid-filled world where all is mostly silent except for the throbbing of your mother's heart,

Your world dark,

Warm,

Wet,

Soothing,

Peacefulness surrounding you.

Feel your body receptive,

Sense the pulse of creation,

Limitless,

Beautiful,

Perfect,

Echoing through the overtones of your small heart.

Imagine how it feels to listen to your mother's heartbeat,

Its familiar intonations,

Its rhythm,

The music from the spirit dwelling within her,

Her breath flowing through you,

Enveloping your life,

Her emotions swirling around you,

Surfacing from her depth,

Her body supporting yours,

Your soul nourishing hers,

A fathomless intelligence guiding it all.

Imagine your connection with the unconditionality of the cord,

Your placenta,

Reliable,

Wise,

Strong,

Merging your soul with her soul and your body with her body.

Her anticipation for you,

Her longing to hold you close,

To smell you and breathe you,

Becomes the very delight hiding inside of you,

Her love of force propelling you further with intention and devotion.

You are the life inside this woman who offers herself to you,

Inside and out,

A bond stretched across time,

Infinite,

Boundless,

Unconditional,

The gift of presence,

You are her true reward.

Now imagine descending down into her pelvis,

Feeling the urge to emerge into the light,

Every wave a downward motion into your spirit and into her life,

The pressure and contractions,

The movements,

The undulating currents leading you deeper down and out,

Your soul converging with body,

Mind and life.

Imagine your birth as the condensation of universal life force expressing itself through her bones opening,

Her ligaments stretching and holding,

Her cervix a gateway expanding,

Thinning,

Making space,

Your body descending into the streams of her effort,

Her urge to push,

Her moans and intensity,

The gaps within the hormonal surges,

The impulse to continue her dance towards you,

All the particles of life coming together,

Weaving you whole,

Tending to your arrival.

Imagine your compulsion to descend and the impulse to implode and explode into the earth's existence,

Your lungs yielding to the air as you breathe your first breath out of her waters and into the hands of life,

You a new cell emerging into a vast field of possibilities,

A journey where every detail is important and unique to you.

Imagine coming out from your mother's womb and seeing the strangeness and beauty of the world for the very first time.

What do you see?

What does it smell like?

How do you feel?

Imagine silently gazing at your mother,

Recognizing her spirit through her eyes,

Looking back at yours,

Witnessing your lines and crevices,

Your perfect form.

Imagine communicating with one another,

A conversation transcending language and speech.

What do you say to her?

Her touch reassuring,

Warm,

Feel the golden thread linking you to each other,

Holding you as one.

Her chest now your home,

Your comfort,

Her warm creamy milk,

Now the fluid growing you and connecting you to her depth.

Imagine,

Just imagine your emotions unobstructed,

Easy,

Flowing,

All your energy embodied,

Gently unfurling in the arms of the one who loves you beyond herself.

Imagine yourself seen,

Held,

Recognized,

Honored.

Imagine your mother's softly whispering blessings into your small ears,

Your arms and legs stretching out to reach the sun and the moon and the stars,

Your eyes mirroring the sky,

Clear,

Open,

Absorbing every bit of moment.

Imagine,

Just imagine the at-oneness with your spirit,

Never lost and never broken.

Imagine the joy of being and feeling uninhibited.

Imagine life as the pleasure and adventure of being and becoming and evolving and expressing yourself as mystery,

Unfolding the greatness within you,

The one reality at the root of all your parts,

Coming together here now in front of me as a symphony wild in rapture,

Blessing the expression of what you and only you are.

And now,

Breathe it all in and open your eyes.
