Today we'll enjoy a body scan and then deeply relaxing into mindful sleep.
Let's lay down in a comfortable position.
Enjoy the sheets,
The blanket,
Our bodies and this wonderful opportunity to have a deep restful sleep in safety.
We'll start with scanning from the top of the head and go down to the tips of our toes,
Simply feeling the sensations,
Simply relaxing into this moment by moment sensations.
First,
We feel the scalp,
Feel the shoulders,
The arms,
Feeling all the sensations and anywhere we notice tension.
We can see if we can breathe to it,
Gently relax,
Scanning all the way down to the lower stomach,
Simply feeling,
Being aware of the soles of the feet and see if we can have a sense,
As one energy field,
We're holding lightly sensation of the body,
Having a gentle sense of the whole body breathing,
Letting go into the out-breath,
Realizing there's nothing to do.
This moment is a cloud in the sky,
Sinking into it.

Drifting into sleep with calm awareness.
