Welcome,
Beautiful soul.
This meditation is inspired by Joanne,
My heart mother,
Whose love and care for her garden at dawn reminds us of the quiet magic in every new day.
In the hush before daylight,
When the world is still slow,
You sit by your window while the night lets go.
Snow drapes the earth in a quiet silver fold,
A soft invitation,
A story yet untold.
Breathe into the silence that settles like lace,
Feeling warmth gather slowly in your peaceful heart space.
The day is still forming,
Its first light tender and new,
A promise unfolding,
Waiting to meet you.
As you gaze over the winter bright view,
The quiet unfolds in a shimmer of white blue.
You notice faint impressions stitched across the snow,
Rabbits' night-wandering patterns,
Gentle and slow.
Her trail curves through the frost,
A leftover breath of night,
Hinting she's near,
Woven into the soft edges of growing light.
Here comes the cardinal,
Vivid red against the pale,
A small flame perched at winter's edge without fail.
He looks through your window and you meet his gaze in return,
A silent exchange in which something begins to turn.
His presence murmurs a message as the day gathers anew.
Stand boldly in your truth,
The world is made brighter by you.
Above him,
The trees unspool their shadows and rise,
Branches etched in ink against brightening skies.
Morning spills gold across the snowy ground.
In that quiet glow,
A new promise is found.
The white-eared squirrel arrives in a flourish of snow,
Darting and dancing,
Always on the go.
He noses through seeds with a nimble cheer,
Offering a lesson,
Meet the day without fear.
Soon the garden fills,
Finches,
Juncos,
Then the rabbit hops near,
Each creature a whisper of joy you can hear.
Their small,
Shared world hums a gentle,
Golden tune as morning spills light across the frosted dunes.
Tiny sparks of life gather in your secret space,
Each one a reminder of wonder,
Warmth,
And grace.
As dawn lifts fully,
Brushing gold on the land,
You breathe in the promise held in winter's gentle hand.
The snow glimmers softly,
Like the earth dressed in a prayer.
Light dances on branches,
Weaving patterns in the air.
You feel yourself settled,
Wrapped in the morning's soft light that today holds space for wonder,
For calm,
For delight.
With your next long exhale,
The morning completes its rise.
The world stands before you,
Clear as crystalline skies.
You offer a quiet thank you to this living ballet,
To the creatures,
The stillness,
The shimmering day.
May your day be blessed.
May your heart be joyful.
Namaste.
