Join me as we recite and breathe in the scriptures of Psalm 23 from the Book of Psalms - which has been known to bring instant comfort to those who believe in the spiritual peace of Jesus Christ. Used in both Jewish and Christian liturgies, it is referred to as perhaps the best-known of the psalms due to "its universal message of trust in God, and its simplicity".

Do you have a moment to sit with me so that we may breathe life into your current situation?

I trust that God's living word shall sustain you in whatever it is you're facing today.

Let's begin.

The 23rd Psalm reads,

The Lord is my shepherd,

I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul.

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea,

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil,

For thou art with me,

Thy rod,

Thy staff,

They comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.

Thou anointest my head with oil.

My cup runneth over.

Surely,

Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Amen and Ashe.

Now please join me in meditating on this word that we just read together.

Breathe in,

The Lord is my shepherd.

Breathe out,

I shall not want.

Breathe in,

Green pastures.

Breathe out,

Still waters.

Breathe in,

Restoreth my soul.

Breathe out,

He leadeth me.

Breathe in,

Yea,

Though I walk.

Breathe out,

I shall fear no evil.

Breathe in,

Thy rod and thy staff.

Breathe out,

They comfort me.

Breathe in,

Thou preparest a table.

Breathe out,

Thou anointest my head with oil.

Breathe in,

My cup runneth over.

Breathe out,

Surely.

Breathe in,

Goodness and mercy.

Breathe out,

All the days of my life.

Now gently sit in silence as long as you need to until your body is ready to return to your day.

And thank you for having the audacity to activate your self-care practice.

You deserve it.
