Hello and welcome to She'll Live Yoga and Breath.
My name is Natalie.
This is a quick yoga nidra practice to give you permission to pause and allow yourself to slow down.
I invite you to settle into a comfortable position of your choice.
Wherever you are right now.
Feel the steady beat of your heart.
Nourishing your body with every pulse.
Notice how your body knows exactly how to breathe.
Without any effort from you.
There is nothing to do right now.
We will now move into a breathing exercise to signal to your body that it is time to slow down.
We will breathe in through the nose,
Filling the lungs and belly.
Then slowly exhale through the mouth with an audible sigh.
Deep inhale through the nose,
Filling the lungs and belly.
Exhale,
Releasing slowly,
Allowing your body to soften into this moment.
Slowly inhale,
Filling the lungs and belly.
Then exhale through the mouth,
Allowing your whole body to release tension.
Allow your breath to settle back into its own natural rhythm.
Soften your body.
Let your thoughts fade away.
Rest your attention on these words as you repeat them silently after me.
There is space to slow down.
There is space to slow down.
There is space to slow down.
Allow that to sink in,
Developing deep roots.
Now,
Bring your awareness to your physical body.
Smooth your forehead.
Release your jaw.
Let your shoulders relax down,
Away from the ears.
Feel your chest soften,
Your belly loosen.
Relax your arms.
Unclench your hands.
Let your hips grow heavy.
Releasing tension from your legs,
Calves,
And feet.
There's nowhere you need to be.
There's nothing you need to do.
Your entire body is resting.
Bring your attention back to your chest and belly,
Noticing the gentle rise and fall as you count backwards from three to four.
To 1.
Allow your intention to return as you repeat it silently after me.
There is space to slow down.
There is space to slow down.
There is space to slow down.
Feel your body fully supported by the surface beneath you.
When you are ready,
Bring some gentle movement to your fingers and toes.
Your arms and your legs.
And return back to your day at an unhurried,
Steady pace.
Namaste.
