I'm Sahaya Avielle,
And this is a meditation to help ground you and bring you comfort and peace on your journey to sleep.
Begin to find yourself in a comfortable position,
Lying down.
Take a moment to set up your sleep space in a way that will support you the most.
Maybe place a pillow underneath your knees,
Or find a fetal position,
And prop yourself up in whichever way will allow you to rest peacefully and with ease in your body.
Begin to slowly close your eyes.
Take a moment to focus on your breath.
Acknowledge if your heart is moving fast or slow.
Take a moment to acknowledge the events of your day.
If there's something that you found that wasn't the most peaceful,
Send healing energy there now.
May you release any of the worries of the day.
May you release any of the tough moments,
And may you welcome in peace and rest.
Take a moment to focus on your breath.
Allow yourself to take a deep inhale,
Fill your belly up with air,
And a deep exhale to release all the air out of your body.
Again,
Inhale,
Fill all the way up,
And exhale,
Slowly,
Slowly,
Slowly release.
One last time,
Inhale,
Fill all the way up with air,
And take your time to allow all the air to release fully.
Begin to call in ease of mind,
Ease of body,
And ease of spirit.
Take a moment to give gratitude for three things,
Whether it's something that happened in your day,
Or something present in your life.
You can repeat the phrase in your mind's eye,
I am grateful for,
I am thankful for,
I feel blessed because.
And allow yourself to find a little more ease in whatever those things are.
Begin to check in with your body,
Acknowledge any sensations or feelings.
Begin to send your breath to the places in your body that need it the most,
And begin a body scan for deeper relaxation.
Begin to send loving,
Healing energy to your head,
May you release any thoughts that don't serve you,
And allow yourself to find a sense of peace.
Release any tension in your brows,
Your forehead,
Release any holding in your jaw,
Your cheeks.
Maybe find a gentle smile along your face as you begin to rest,
Send relaxation and healing down through your neck.
Release any tension in your shoulders,
Maybe a gentle movement to relax them down if you're feeling any tension there,
And allow your shoulders to melt down into your bed.
Begin to send deep release and relaxation down into your arms,
Release your fingers,
Your hands,
Maybe allow your palms to face the sky,
Or to wrap around your body in gentle comfort.
Begin to relax your heart,
Your chest,
Let go of any holding there,
Gently send your breath down into that space.
Maybe take a moment for your heart to expand,
And then release.
Send gentle,
Healing,
Relaxing energy down into your belly,
Allow that deep relaxation to move down into your hips,
Send your breath down your spine into your back,
Let it expand into your hips,
And then release.
Send your breath down through your legs,
Let them relax and release the tension of the day,
Let them find ease,
And rest,
And release.
Begin to send your breath all the way down to your ankles,
Your feet,
Your toes,
Release any holding there,
Release any tension,
Allow your body to find rest and ease.
May you feel a sense of relaxation as you begin to drift off into sleep,
Allow yourself to fully let go,
Welcome in peace,
Ease,
And joyful expectation,
May you drift off into healing,
Nurturing dreams,
And may you eventually wake feeling more replenished,
And more refreshed.
