Hi,
I'm Bernadette Pleasant and welcome to Nightfall Nourishment,
A soft surrender into sleep.
Come,
Beloved.
Before we begin,
Take a moment to prepare yourself.
Take all the time you need.
Close the door.
Turn off the light.
Wear the eye mask.
Silence all devices that might disturb your sleep.
My invitation to you is to set down anything that does not belong in this sacred space.
Let the world know you are unavailable for everything except your own restoration.
Pull up the covers and nestle into the place where your body feels most held.
Feel the weight of the day begin to slide off your shoulders,
Like silk falling from your skin.
Soften and close your eyes,
My love.
You've given enough.
You've done enough.
Now together,
We'll walk toward rest.
Take a breath with me.
A slow,
Full breath.
Let it fill your belly like a warm embrace.
And exhale fully.
Feel your whole being sigh in relief.
Again,
Inhale with me.
The day has done what it came to do.
And now,
It's time for you to do what only you can do.
Surrender.
Feel the bed cradle you like ancient arms.
Let the mattress catch the weight you no longer need to carry.
Let your bones settle.
Let your muscles loosen.
Let your skin soften.
You do not have to hold it all together here.
You are safe in your body.
You are safe in your skin.
You are safe in this night.
No one gave you your dignity,
And no one can take it from you.
It is yours.
It is holy.
It is ancient.
It is unshakeable.
Now,
Whisper to yourself,
I release the worries of this day.
I release every burden that tried to climb on my back.
I release all stress,
All fear,
All frustration.
They are not mine to carry through the night.
You have done your best,
Sweet one.
That is enough.
Let that truth wrap around you like warm silk.
If there were mistakes today,
Let them float away like petals on water.
If there were words unsaid or said too sharply,
Release them into the night wind.
If old stories try to haunt you today,
Let them know not tonight.
I am resting in grace.
Forgiveness blooms here softly,
Gently,
Without force.
You are forgiven.
You are free.
And now,
Beloved,
Allow yourself to anticipate the beauty that tomorrow holds.
Tomorrow arrives already laced with joy,
Already painted with possibility.
There is laughter waiting for you.
There is tenderness waiting for you.
There is abundance that has your name written on it.
You are worthy of all of it.
Your joy is not accidental.
It's ancestral.
Your joy is not accidental.
It's ancestral.
As you drift into this delicious rest,
Feel your skin soften even more.
Let every cell of your being drink in this safety.
Let your nervous system hum with ease.
Let your breath lead you into the soft,
Sacred dark.
I will stay here with you for just a moment longer,
Watching you surrender,
Loving you as you let go.
Rest now,
Beloved,
And when you awake,
Wake.
