Settling into the body,
Feeling our way,
Feeling our way into our body here,
Feeling the feet on the floor,
Butt in the chair.
Just noticing what those feel like,
The sensations of the body,
Scanning the body gently with our awareness,
And just listening for any part of the body that wants attention,
Resting our non-judgmental,
Loving,
Kind awareness on that body part,
And just sitting with it.
You might wiggle the shoulders,
Finding a posture that's alert but not stiff,
Softening of the eyes into a smile,
Becoming aware of the pattern of breath,
No need to change anything,
Just noticing the pattern of breath.
Becoming aware of the quality or qualities of the air as it enters the body.
It's different when you breathe through a smile and not just playing with that,
Seeing how the experience of breath changes,
Whether you bring a smile or not,
Opening our awareness from the breath to the environment we are sitting in,
Any sounds,
Just beginning to notice the life vibrating around you as you sit,
Opening your senses to all the various input.
See if you can tune in to the frequency of the various forms of life around you.
The sounds are all a frequency.
The light coming in through your eyelids is a frequency,
Or it's coming in at a particular frequency that changes it from sound to light.
But even the chair is a frequency that has a big matter.
Tune in to the frequency your body is and how it interacts with the frequencies in the environment,
Just becoming aware of the interaction of the frequencies.
If the mind wanders,
Just bring it back to the breath,
Notice the frequency of the breath.
As you play with the frequencies or the vibrations,
That's you as the song,
That is the song you sing.
Music is another vibration,
Sculpture is a vibration,
Everything is a vibration.
You can tune in,
Listen for particular vibrations.
See if what opens up in the space of observing the vibrations is in some level of appreciation for the magic of it all.
From that appreciation,
There may be just a small step into gratitude.
Just notice what the frequency or the vibration of gratitude feels like next to the vibration of appreciation,
Just like you're tuning into it,
Becoming sensitive to it,
Noticing it.
You're tuning yourself as a radio into that frequency.
And when you're ready,
You can take a couple more breaths.
Open the eyes.
